He’s been linked to Sixers but then again everybody has been linked to Philly. Personally, I think he has similar game to Melton. Melton already fits with Maxey. He’s younger. His back likely makes him cheaper than 20 a year. In the end, Sixers lucked out with Melton having the back issue last year keeping his salary down. Of course, as long as it isn’t a chronic condition.

@bksballer89 think you answered this once......what can teams do when Finals end that they cannot do before July (or at least when FA starts)?

WTH? Vogel was the only short-term coach in recent history to win a championship with the Lakers. How does the many short-term coaches the Lakers have had NOT hurt the trophy count? Excluding Vogel, (and long-term coaches Jackson and Riley), which short-term coaches have won a Lakers championship? The answer: ZERO. That definitely affects the Championship Trophy for sure!!

Or, those teams weren't truly good enough for trophies. A team tied for the league record (for at least one more day) can't complain about their trophy total.

Orlando most likely

He's been using LA imagery to try to pump up his market. I sincerely doubt he's serious about taking the taxpayer MLE (or less), which is likely all the Lakers have to offer.

If he was going to take so little he’d stay where he is

Negotiate with their own free agents and start trade talks.
what I thought....so IF Cs win Cavs could sign Mitchell tomorrow if they want and we would know but nothing official until July (same with Lebron/LA, etc?

Mitchell isn't a free agent. Extensions have their own timeline I believe?

Guy in a Cavs' forum I trust seems sure Mitchell (or Lebron, etc) could be extended after the Finals end. Guess we'll see eventually.

I don't think Lebron will extend. Sounds like he's opting out and re-signing (only way he gets a no-trade clause).

Curious to see what DLo does with his player option. I'm not sure he'll get more elsewhere.

Yeah, gonna be interesting with D-Lo.

Based on his regular season play...he should get at least a decent raise...but, while he wasn't as bad in the playoffs as he was in last years WCF, he wasn't good either...that's gonna hurt him, imo.
