Cool....but if he signs the extension it's not something I'd worry about until it needs to be worried about.

I'd say for now the real question is does he extend since so many have already guaranteed he wont.

Well, dumb to guarantee either side.

But it makes sense financially for him to extend.

And if he does extend, that does not necessarily mean that he wants to stay in Cleveland long term.

I agree was pretty foolish to guarantee what he'd do (even though many "insiders" did and many here treated it as gospel).....and, yes, still no lock he signs.

I mean, OK, but wouldn't this be true of nearly anyone who signs a long term deal? I wonder if he says yes to the Cavs then someone says "now hold on a minute.....there are some who have never spoken to Mitchell about where he wants to be but want to make sure it's known this does not mean he wants to stay here. Should we reconsider?"

It is true of anyone who signs a extension with a team they got drafted by or traded to.

meaning less so if Mitchell decided to take less to go elsewhere? I can agree with that.....but seems the majority of max guys stay put to get the most money.

I doubt this is a concern for the Cavs if he puts pen to paper on an extension.....at least no more than the many other teams in the same situation.

DJ, if you want a very good full game to watch on Youtube for a boredom remedy, it is when Eric Dickerson set a post-season rushing record of 248 yards in a single game in 1985 under John Robinson against the Caboys. Very good game and a great Rams defense with Bud Carson running the show.
