Who needs Deadline Day or Free Agent Frenzy? Just lockout for a few months and you get some movement. At least the NHL media is expecting some major stuff to go down.

Eric Fehr resigned with the Caps for one year

Franson resigned with the Leafs for a year as well

Both deals unofficial until MOU is signed. Stupid MOU.

I thought Franson had signed a full year deal in Europe preventing him from being signed in the NHL.

Cody Franson? He was a restricted free agent. Not sure if that has anything to do with a players ability to sign in another league...doubt it.
