I'm waiting for the Lakers fans on here to tell me where Kobe ranks on the all-time Lakers list. Since my credibility is (apparently) shot, let's see what the experts think.

Where do you rank him? I ain't going back through this tread.

He played for the Hawks.

Amazing players just don't come to mind when I think of the Hawks lol. Had to look it up since I was sure it wasn't Wilkins. I could have totally guessed a player who played for the Milwaukee Hawks and who was born in 1932. :pound:

I'm not qualified on the old-timers, but starting in 1980, I would go like this:

1. Magic
2. Kareem
3. Shaq
4. Kobe

I know Wilt was a monster, but he only played a short time for the Lakers. I'm not sure on guys like Elgin Baylor or West.

Shaq isn't in the Lakers' top 10. Lazy fatass could have been elite, top five alltime, but he was more passionate about getting attention than he was about basketball.

Yeah, I'm not qualified on the old-timers either. Wilt was clearly a monster though. I remember Chick Hearn saying that Baylor was the best player he ever saw. The original high-fly act.

I put Kobe ahead of Kareem and Shaq because those two didn't play their whole careers with the Lakers.

I'm not sure about that. He played 8 years for the Lakers and averaged 27PPG & 12RPG for those seasons. He also led the league in FG% in all but 2 of those 8 years. Nobody since Wilt dominated the NBA the way Shaq did. He's top 10 all-time on my list.

Len wilkens, Walt Hazzard, Pete Maravich

I actually have seen some Pete Maravich highlights, he was an absolutely amazing passer but he wasn't a career Hawk or anything.

That's DEFINITELY before my time. Where did that guy go who kept calling me a "young whippersnapper"? I like that guy.

That was before my time as well. Started following the NBA in the early 80's.
