I admit that I weigh heavily in favor of players that I have seen. I only ever got to see back brace Bird. Russel based on Championships for sure, but I would take Kobe over Magic or Kareem. I freaking hate Kobe though.

You put lebron on the 97 and 98 Bulls team and they'd get beat down by the Jazz in 5 or 6 games. Most of lebrons points came in the paint - Karl Malone would have wiped the floor with him.

I don't know if you realize how much Lebron would scorch Malone if they were 1on1. Would Lebron be backing down Malone? Maybe but not likely. However, he'd go around him or just shoot that mid-range jumper on him all day long.

I haven't watched the NBA in a few years. I just can't handle all the commercials and fouls and timeouts. But, I saw PLENTY of Lebron before that. Certainly enough to appreciate what he is as a player.

He also played with one of the most talented groups a player could ever ask to be a part of. Outside of the 90s Bulls and 70s/80s Celtics, those Laker teams were the most talented teams ever.

Kobe has a solid case for GOAT. I would place him third. If Lebron had the same cutthroat attitude as Kobe then I think we would be looking at a clear GOAT in Lebron. I think Kobe is closer to Lebron right now then Lebron is to Jordan
