Always better to be in first than second for sure. BUT, there's 46 more games on our schedule, nine of which - counting tonight - will be against the disAstros!

And Murphy is still our starting LF. Yikes. But at least Wash moved him into the 9 hole. He's getting closer to the bench is the only thing I make of this. Got Rios in the # 5 hole tonight!

Rios is our number 6 hitter for now.

Me either. But go check out the evil empires - ESPN - line up for tonight. They have an AL line-up, with Holland not listed, and show Murphy hitting 9th! How'd they come up with this?

Murphy still only hits .230 against RHP. I think most of us think he should be benched and left out of the starting lineup regardless of who's on the mound.

I wish it were Gentry hitting 9th.

For sure, Gentry needs more playing time. More ABs will help Gentry offensively, whereas more ABs for Murphy simply highlight the fact that he sucks. Plus Gentry is a superior defender and has excellent speed on the bases.

Also, Wash said Rios will be primarily our number 6 hitter but he should get some action in the number 5 slot behind Beltre, although I understand him hitting 6th his first game with the Rangers.
