The rangers front office / brain trust is a bunch of tone deaf greedy fucks.

we were the last team to offer refunds to people who have bought tickets. Heck, I’m not even sure we have formally offered everyone refunds. Oh yea and we also have a pandemic going on.

when it was stated that we were going to play again. All I’ve heard is the rangers bring up the governor’s rules and say we will be filling the stadium at 50% capacity.

can these guys get any more tone deaf? Go ahead and criticize me, but I’m not going to restaurants, I’m not going to movie theaters, I’m not going to 4th of July firework shows and I damn sure am not going to a baseball game this year.

All of that stuff can wait until 2021 when we are expected to have some variation of a cure, therapeutic that fights COVID 19, or hopefully a vaccine.

until then....... play it safe and try to stay safe.

No way can I criticize that. I like living too. In fact, you surprised me. Good for you and stay safe too.

I think today's announcement from the Governor puts the kibosh on fans being able to attend games, should the games actually be played.

I wonder if this tells us anything about the possibility of Minor being here beyond this season?

Lynn pitched every bit as well as Minor last year, and arguably better, so I don't think it tells us anything

im glad to be honest.

COVID probably won’t be a serious problem by 2021. The more people who play it safe, the better off everyone will be.

attending baseball games in 2020 just isn’t necessary. There’s more important things going on right now.

that is making a big assumption. it could be at least 5 years before it isn't a serious problem

More than likely 2-3 years, but all the shutdowns and stay at home orders are only delaying the inevitable

Also, the staged re-opening seemed to be working as cases were only gradually going up at a fairly controlled rate, they couldn't have foreseen 1000s of people in the streets protesting in many major Texas and US cities

Some as a result of fairly irresponsible people and businesses not taking proper precautions and net effect of congregated protestors (whether you believed in the message or not, the result is the same), we're not quite back to square 1, but pretty close

Article on espn about rangers front office scared of the corona virus.

I know a guy in the front office who can’t wait to find a different job. He says they’re extremely incompetent.

just find and read the article.

im a rangers fan for life, but man am I praying for a shake up with the brain trust.

Rangers have been pretty much the only team forcing their employees to come up to the office.

they’ve also been pretty much the only team to not offer refunds up to this point either.

not a good look.

we are being run by out of touch old farts. I don’t have anything against old people as long as they don’t act like this.

Guess this is the article.

Glad I am able to work from home mostly during this. My concern is not as much for me but for those in that small percentage and for hospitals.
Perhaps that is what “terrifies” staff.

Side note job is connected to medical field and front line workers in hospitals

Is there anything the rangers could possibly do to make you guys not a fan of them anymore?

I have been very disappointed in our latest draft, how they’ve handled the refunds during a pandemic, and how they’ve made employees come to the office to spread coronavirus.

a lot of it just seems very poorly run and thought out. I don’t like to support organizations that I believe to be incompetent.

I’m a huge fan of this team and have been for 20+ years of my young life, but if they resigned Odor to another massive contract, it might be the last straw. It seems obvious that he shouldn’t be retained but maybe Davis and Simpson love the guy on a personal level.

Can't comment now. Way to much going on for owners ,players and the league to make all the right calls now. There is no stability in the country and many people and business undecided what to do. I'm going to give the team benefit of the doubt till things begin to settle down and smooth out. And by the way, Odor is so insignificant that he is not moving anyone's needle.

Patience seems like a good and level headed approach. Unfortunately, patience is in very short supply in this country right now.

I don't blame anyone for what is going on due to the virus. I wrote something a few days ago about how I felt about that.

I have survived Ron Washington being kept around for several more years than he should have been, so I guess it is pretty hard to get rid of me as a fan.

That being said, I would like new ownership and a new GM.
