Hate to see this. In the back of my mind if cut lose of Garver we might get a short term 1B and out Lowe at DH
I saw that. We could do worse on a 1-2 year contract as a bridge. It’s not the splash that sends the message intended thoughOur old buddy, Kyle Gibson, is starting to get some attention.
Make that 3 hits.Duran is in RF tonight. He has 2 hits and a stolen base.
Meanwhile, Spencer Howard is still on the team. The rule 5 draft is creeping up on us. Will be looking for some predictions of who gets picked up

I really hope for a hitter since the team prefers to use free agent pitchers anyway. (Preferably, not a SS) Hitters develop quicker, get hurt less often, and there is no temptation to use two of their controllable years in the bullpen once they do make it up here.I’m hoping for Thomas White
Lol. Maybe the next FA pickup shortens his days hereMeanwhile, Spencer Howard is still on the team.
Very key hires indeedFrom Jeff Wilson:
General manager Chris Young said that two important hires are still pending in the organization, pitching coaches at Triple A Round Rock and Double A Frisco.
Bill Simas and longtime Rangers minor-league coach Jeff Andrews weren’t retained after the 2022 season ended. Young said that he wants to build a pitching department and the department, with Maddux atop the depth chart, will establish how Rangers pitchers throughout the organization will pitch.
Continuity is a big word in sports. It also applies to messaging with the Rangers.
Offensive coordinator Donnie Ecker is streamlining hitting so that prospects will have an easier transition when they reach the majors. The goal is the same for the pitching prospects, and word from the top will be disseminated to the two pitching coaches who will have their hands most on the pitchers coming up.
Young hopes to have the Triple A and Double A vacancies filled sooner than later, but there isn’t a timetable on it.
If I was another team looking to take a pitcher, I think there is at least two I would choose from the Rangers before Kelly. The rule 5 previews are starting to come out. I am guessing we lose the wild relief pitcher out of Frisco with great stuff. Antoine Kelly
Ahh thought you might say that. We shall seeIf I was another team looking to take a pitcher, I think there is at least two I would choose from the Rangers before Kelly.
I really hope a team does take Kelly because it means one less team needing a pitcher will be tempted to take one of our more valuable pitchers.Ahh thought you might say that. We shall see
