I think we will have to sell him on the strength of our future but if we money whip him who knows

Big players even as elite as Judge don’t age as well but maybe at some point he can become a 1B if we empty the vault

Still pitching is lacking immediately so…

To me, a guy like Judge makes me even more patient with our own pitching.

Signing Perez, Judge and Nick Martinez would be an extremely successful offseason.

We counted on progress in AAA that did not happen last year

We counted on one guy at AAA. That is vastly different than having a whole staff to choose from. Night and day difference, almost.

I am talking about our AAA guys in 2023, not the guys who were there in 2022. Lee is for a different discussion since he isn't a starter. Also, I am not talking about guys being ready to step into a rotation spot for good, only temporarily to prevent bullpen games.

I think those guys give us a lot more protection from bullpen games than the pitchers who were in Round Rock in 2022 did. This group appears to be a lot more formidable than any group we have had there in years. They should also be bolstered by Englert within a couple of months as well.

Personally I was glad he didn't sign last year because the lineup was a huge question mark. It seems to be a bit more settled now but they still need another bat or 2. If they can get a couple of bats I would love for them to sign him on a short contract to bring the attitude/atmosphere of a winner to the club and be a mentor to the young pitchers...
