A lot to me is how well Seagers defense plays out with how well Acuna progresses. Injuries are a factor. I would not trade Acuna because of Seager

Isn't Seager's defense going to be what it has been at this point?

When I saw him in person he appeared to have the range of Kevin Elster.

You really have to be careful when trading away prospects.


I am sure their were some who said, "he's only a prospect."

I would imagine Acuna is going to be ready in 2024, so of they are going to move Seager somewhere they had better get ready to do it fairly soon. Of course we probably have 2 guys who could already take over at SS if they moved Seager before next season.

That would be a nice rotation that would allow for the youngsters to slowly come up and be ready come 2025 and beyond

Yeah this year OPS was down across MLB.
Only 41 players had an OPS over 800
63 in 2011
57 in 2012

Wonder if the new bench mark is .770
There were 59 players with a .770 OPS or higher this year.

Still we would only have 2 Seager & Lowe
Hopefully Adolis and Semien can be counted on next year.
Jung should progress into a talented player.
There’s some good talent coming up too.
Maybe they add Nimmo or Abreu.. both players had an .800 ops or better

Semien has only had 2 seasons in his career when his OPS was higher than .735 and he isn't exactly headed toward his prime.

As far as Adolis goes, he could get better, but he has already improved so much that we might have seen him at his best this year. That Adolis would be great, but we still need several higher OPS guys around him.
