Assuming Texas doesn't target any of the remaining big fish SPs (Rodón, Senga, Bassitt, ect), do you guys consider a rotation of deGrom-Perez-Gray-Heaney-Odorizzi, with Dunning, Otto and Ragans as depth to be deep enough to confidently head into the season, or do y'all think at least another signing for SP depth is necessary?
To me, it is fine.

Cohen has 16 billion. That 75 million he just laid out isn’t much to him.

Now what brought this up?
When Fielder was mentioned I remembered that insurance paid a decent chunk of his salary. And since we have some long term high dollar contracts on the team again I got curious as to how much the team pays for insurance, that's all. Doesn't make much sense to make that kind of high dollar commitment and walk around with your pants around your ankles if something goes wrong... :D

I know some on here don’t necessarily want a LF brought in..
But I’d like to know everyone’s guesses as to who is the opening day Left Fielder??

My best guess is Duran. Of all the options, he has the most potential as a hitter, and I'm fairly confident that with experience he'll be able to play adequate defense, at least. I believe Duran will hit 265/325/460 next year with 20-25 bombs.

That would be nice

He's there main reason I'd rather not sign a FA to play LF.
Let's see what we have in him. Not to mention there are a few other internal options if Duran falters.
Bubba, Mathias, and Smith (to a lesser extent) have flashed potential, as well.

I wonder if Zavala and Carter will be ready by 2024 opening day.
I know Zavala won’t be back until late May and probably DH for awhile cause of his UCL surgery..
Those 2 guys make me not want to sign a guy long term.
Conforto or Mccutchen wouldn’t be a bad pickup on a 1 year deal.

I wouldn’t mind trading Duran & Smith as part of a package for Bryan Reynolds though since he has 3 years of team control left and we have reinforcements on the way.

I am sticking with Josh Smith until they bring someone else in. I think Josh has the potential to hit close to .330 some day in the not to distant future. I think he could hit .290 or better in 2023.

I still expect both Duran and Smith to be starting in the OF by some point in June.

Don't sleep on Dustin Harris being a factor as well.

Also, by the All Star break I think the Ctim Reaper will be putting up numbers in AAA that will force a lot more folks to consider him to come up and help

I would rather they spend on a closer than a LF player but unless it is a significant upgrade at LF, it really does not make sense to me
