No More "Bullpen Failure"
Adolis is not a finalist for ROY.
Allard has only made 34 starts with us. What would it hurt to put him in the rotation at the beginning of the year and give him a few weeks there? Most of our future pitchers are in the minors where they will progress minus Hearn and Dunning. Allard has had plenty of time and his upside isn’t much.
They stunt themselves lol
No problem at all in a rebuild year. He is just more of a multi inning reliever IMOAllard has only made 34 starts with us. What would it hurt to put him in the rotation at the beginning of the year and give him a few weeks there?
Well he was not a Yankee-El Bombi got screwed
but with Alexy, Latz and Otto we have seen that they have the tools to be successful at the MLB level and we are also expecting to see Allard, Winn, Vanasco, Bradford, Howard and maybe even Leiter at AAA this season. the logjam starts by overdoing the number of FA pitchers we bring in.Most of our future pitchers are in the minors where they will progress minus Hearn and Dunning. Where I am coming from is these guys are likely not our future as winning pieces. I have no problem for them to eat innings this year but we really need to see development this year or some of these guys won’t be on our roster the following year.but with Alexy, Latz and Otto we have seen that they have the tools to be successful at the MLB level and we are also expecting to see Allard, Winn, Vanasco, Bradford, Howard and maybe even Leiter at AAA this season. the logjam starts by overdoing the number of FA pitchers we bring in.
rotation of
Kershaw
Dunning
Hearn
either Allard or Latz
Alexy and Otto in a opener rotation
makes sense
which is what i want. we get to see more of what they can bring this season while giving the others time to develop and then in the off-season we will have a clearer picture for 2024. baby stepsWhere I am coming from is these guys are likely not our future as winning pieces. Otto could easily make a jump to a 4 or 5 starter and he will likely get the shot
Hearn obviously has made strides and could be here long term in a variety of roles
Yeah, I posted about this a few days ago. He put up an ERA this year similar to what Yu used to put up over there and a run or more better than what Colby used to put up over there.
This is a lot of competition. We may need some plan B’s
I wonder how many of those teams are going for one of those SS about the same way we went after Rendon? When the offers come out it will separate the contenders from the pretenders. This is a lot of competition. We may need some plan B’s
It may be good news for us if we decide to trade IKF.This is a lot of competition. We may need some plan B’s
I hope the tank committee penalizes them
I do not like the idea of a contract with Kershaw based soley on his injuries. Certainly in the case of a multi year deal as EG stated in the video. In a perfect world, he is a SP we all would relish but no one knows if he will be physically ready to pitch every five days. The risk does not warrant the unknown when we have better options with no injury risk for the money Kershaw will demand.
Evan Grant is starting to do some video stories.
