apparently the slow down in the CWS-Texas talks on the trade of Mazara is that Arizona and St. Louis are actively involved in discussions with Texas about him too

id like to see more than just Mazara moved. I guess we will have to watch Choo for another year here? Or maybe some team will go after him at the deadline.

I've have been somewhat surprised for 2 years now that Choo hasn't been moved b/c he is such a valuable offensive player. I thought some contender/cusp of that, would be all over a guy who can do so many things at the plate.............It appears I see something few do.

I see him with a contending team being more than this......Yes indeed he's a good to terrific leadoff hitter for sure.

Granted his D is 'very' limited but he can play both corner spots on selected days, as you mentioned DH, and he does a great job of getting on base in some-form-or-fashion. He works the pitcher, gets walks/HBP as good as just about anyone, hits with decent power/avg, runs semi-effectively. Seems to be a good teammate, and has a lot of 'been there, done that' experience.
