No More "Bullpen Failure" - maybe
They have 2 more years on their contract with the Astros.
Oh my. What does this do for Round Rock at some point

I wasn't prepared for a pop quiz.Just testing you sir
The one good thing about signing Donaldson would be that it forces management to make a decision on Solak at 2B.
You act surprised. I mentioned this months ago.
cranes son would definitely be more classy than the embarassing reid Ryan.
On your top five of guys WHO NEED TO BE DRAWN & QUARTERED at the worst, or BANISHED FROM BASEBALL at the least, here's my guess on yours.
(1) Odor
(2) Odor
(3) Odor
(4) JD
(5) Reid Ryan
How'd I do?
Yes, that is correct. This may sound elementry, but I'm assuming you think Solak would be at 3rd if we don't make a FA signing; be it Donaldson or someone else? This correct?
1) Jose Bautista
2) Reid Ryan
3) odor
4) khris Davis
5) Albert pujols

We need to be playing Solak at his most optimum position 2B not just sticking him at another position.Yes, that is correct.
Don't tell us. We agree with you. LOLWe need to be playing Solak at his most optimum position 2B not just sticking him at another position.

I watched what happened with Profar for one and think we need to establish Solar at his natural position and leave him there. Experimenting with position change should be done at the minor league level not at the big league level. You got a real hard on for playing Solak at 2B

a lot of people on this board bitched constantly about sticking him at any position just to get him on the field and it seems the Rangers did just that. it affected him on the field and at the plate. and then there's Gallo. when we brought him up he played 3rd and 1st, then we moved him to Left and then to Center.A lot of people would disagree with you there
Profar was almost always a health issue not a position change issue

I think Solak may be the real thing and I don't want to see him bounced around where it may affect his play.
all true but it doesn't change the fact that Solak should be our starting 2b and Odor should be out. Odor has had his time in the Sun and he needs to be moved or benchedWhat affected his play was not getting regular ABs, not switching positions
While it would be great to play every player in a position that's most comfortable for them, that's not a reality, unless you're a premium player then you might have to change positions to accommodate what the team wants and get yourself on the field, and if you don't, you don't play or you get traded
Maybe when his contract is up, that might happen. If he has a good month at the end of the contract then they will probably pick up his option. Don't count on him going anywhere before then.all true but it doesn't change the fact that Solak should be our starting 2b and Odor should be out.
