First of all I don't see any change in the way Woody uses him now. D/H and part time defense. Second: With one year left on his contract he likely does not want to move his family and sell his house this close to retiring. Guessing.

Might want to check on Choo. Believe he has a no trade clause to certain teams. Makes it even harder. Can not imagine anyone wanting Odor. He will start the 2020 season imo. Solak will likely go to AAA till Odor rolls over again. It's all a mess.

im sick of seeing this organization giving odor so many damn chances. When is this guy going to have to earn his place like the rest of the modern day world?

Probably have to give up a pick for Wheeler. Yu has an opt out clause. I think the Cubs are going to unload cash. If Yu wants to pitch for the Rangers I think it is possible

And there aren’t many teams who are contending and need a DH.

calhoun could be moved easily, the question is obviously what do you want to return?

I can't imagine how/why.

Here is my thinking, as convoluted as it may be. The regular season numbers definitely point to the Astroa as being better this year than is in 2011. I strongly expect some of that may be due to the terrible condition of the pitching among the lower rung teams this year. More teams are in that lower rung in the AL this year than in 2011.

However, I think the upper level teams are probably close to as good now as back then. Therefore I think the two postseasons would present a much better comparison. If I am not mistaken the Rangers averaged 5 runs per postseason game in 2011. I think the Astros are averaging right at 3.5 so far, with between 2 and 5 games to go.
