OU has been scheduling tough games for a long time now. Anyone that doesn’t think OU will hold their own in the SEC hasn’t been paying attention to everything that is going on.

Sorry but you can’t name another team that is above OU and I’m talking right now, being in the league makes it even more so. Don’t forget we are headed to a 12 team playoff either.
OU has lost some head scratchers but is everyone’s super bowl in Big12. The Sooners will do fine in any conference they’re in. Oh and Fuck TexasOU usually stubs their toe every year against Big 12 competition.
2020 - KSU & ISU
2019 - KSU
2018 - Texas
2017 - ISU
2016 - Undefeated in conference but opened with a loss to UH and lost to OSU 2 weeks later
2015 - Texas
2014 - You know
How do you think they are going to cut it in the SEC?
No, of course...it would strictly be for their hoops cred. Any conference should want Jayhawk basketball and would tolerate their football programNo one wants Kansas, Bro. Not for football.![]()
That's likely what would happen. The strongest programs from leagues like the MWC or Sun Belt could hook up with the leftover B12 schools. They'd not be considered a power conference but there would be some stability at leastWell, maybe we get a re-branded Big 8 or merge in a Boise State, football power North Dakota State, Utah State & Colorado State for a real Big 12??
About the same honestly, OU has a great record against the SEC. You are also discounting what is finally going on with defense. OU gets their pick of skill players just like bama gets their pick of lineman. OU is already turning the corner on defense but recruiting will be evened up on defense once they are in the SEC.OU usually stubs their toe every year against Big 12 competition.

Yea, we'll have to play 1 or maybe 2 more tough games in LSU or Bama, maybe Auburn once every five years. Oh, you were thinking of A&M being on that list......I guess OU will actually have to play more than 1 tough game a year.
Those mid major's wouldn't move the needleThat's likely what would happen. The strongest programs from leagues like the MWC or Sun Belt could hook up with the leftover B12 schools. They'd not be considered a power conference but there would be some stability at least
3 - 4 in bowl games vs. SEC in the last 9 years is a great record?About the same honestly, OU has a great record against the SEC.
OU gets their pick of skill players just like bama gets their pick of lineman.
might want to pump the breaks on declaring a defensive powerhouse with that 84th ranked passing DOU is already turning the corner on defense but recruiting will be evened up on defense once they are in the SEC.
sorry but OU has became QB U. Sure Bama gets great players too, but on offense others are going to have to get to keep catching up. OU only needs an average defense, and they are going to be better than that very soon.Bama get's their pick of players period. Not just lineman.

those numbers are skewed due to the fact Most teams in the Big12 throw the ball 40-50 times per game... carry on
And all that passing skews the numbers on OU's run defense.
