Well, Texas wouldn't be a threat to them most years. And unless Wisconsin suddenly completely falls off a cliff, OU would be facing a better defense than they have for many years in the Big 12.

I don't know. It seems like we're right on the cusp of another major reorg with the way teams are being held out of the playoffs. All it really takes is one major move and then the rest crumble.

It would be, prior to Texas and OU in there. A division with Texas, OU, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Iowa sounds great to me. The winner faces the winner of the East every year; which means we would potentially get Mich/OSU/PSU/MSU vs. Texas/OU/Neb/Wisc in the championship game. That sounds awesome.

Nebraska and Iowa offer nothing, and again the state of Texas would have to supply all the talent for this dreadful division just to stay competitive. Texas gains nothing in this deal, except more mouths to feed recruiting wise.
