Flips through booklet to see when AtM's last conference title...….. 1998 (1 in Big12, 0 in SEC)
Looks for playoff birth..... goose egg

Yep, Aggies gonna Aggy

Flips through the college playoff record books........OU has the same number of wins in the playoff as A&M. Even though they've been in 4 and A&M has never gone to the playoffs.

Yep, we lost them all. How many playoff games has AtM played in again?

OU will be challenged mightily in the SEC. Yes, in any given year they could be fourth or fifth in the SEC West alone: Bama, Auburn, LSU and A&M in any given year could ALL be better than OU… It depends…

If Oklahoma & Texas join the SEC, one of three things will happen:
a) Alabama & Auburn are moved to the SEC East, with Missouri moving West (that would give the Okies a clearer path to a division title);
b) The SEC breaks into 4 pods of 4 teams each & goes to a 9-game conference schedule. Some years that could help, some years in might hurt.
c) The SEC does away with divisions, but each team gets a core of "forever" opponents & rotates the rest. This could be done with an 8- or 9-game schedule.

OU will enter the SEC as the 3rd or 4th best team. However, an Oklahoma team with two losses in the SEC has a better chance of getting into the playoffs than an Oklahoma team with two losses in the Big 12.
Nope, 2nd and honestly there really shouldn’t be any debate. I’m talking program and brand, but go ahead and use the polls too if you want.

Once again, you aren’t paying attention. OU will now be able to recruit on both sides of the ball. They already get who they want on offense.

I think it will be A, but who knows.

I think the B1G may go after the remaining teams, further watering down their gene pool, yet expanding their TV market.
It’s a shame Kansas doesn’t have a better fb program, they’d be a no brainer.

I’m thinking okla state and WVA.

going further??? Iowa state and….. what I’d like…..

1 Rutgers, take a hike….
ND get your head out of your ass and join the B1G. It’s the conference they belong in.
B1G better wake up and act soon.

I was just getting ready to post thoughts. KU, b-ball good, football is a liability. OSU, football OK, b-ball poor. Only other one I see going after is ISU, both sports are about average. We all know that the Rutgers and Maryland grab was all about TV sets. ND I think has hard one not to join B1G. From what I heard decades ago was the B1G kept putting them off, now ND is saying screw you.

It’s a given that OU is out of the big 12 after 2023. Multiple reasons but one is fans and powers that be are sick of constantly being picked to play 11 am starts. OU comes into the SEC as the solid #2 tram and once in the league will recruit with anyone and everyone. That is actually already happening.

Sorry but you can’t name another team that is above OU and I’m talking right now, being in the league makes it even more so. Don’t forget we are headed to a 12 team playoff either.
Georgia 54 OU 48
Alabama 45 OU 34
LSU 63 OU 28
OU 55 Florida 20

These are the last 4 matchups of OU versus SEC champion contenders. OU is 1-3 versus those teams and faced Florida when Florida didn't have their best Offensive weapons playing. Not saying OU won't contend but they haven't done well recently against good SEC teams.

Lol you guys aren’t listening. OU had a horrible defense, I mean historically bad, yet they still competed. That is how damn good the offense has been and is. Mikey Stoops is no longer around on defense. You aren’t going to automatically get all those 5 star linemen and dbs anymore. You will still get enough, but a fellow blueblood like OU will compete, you can bet on that. All OU has needed was a half ass defense. We will be better than that now. I look forward to the competition.

What the hell did the rest of the SEC do against those teams??
Cherry-picking the superpower of the SEC in the last 5 years to somehow justify OU being overmatched is silly

Oklahoma will beat the snot out of all the lesser teams in the SEC quite regularly.
Oklahoma will win some of the super showdowns. Oklahoma will lose some as well.

Heck, Texas has been all over the map in the last 5 years.
But, Texas was never outmatched in the 3 SEC games played in that same 5 years.

It is idiotic to think both Texas & Oklahoma are going to struggle just because of "team SEC".

Texas will be the same 7-5 / 8-4 level team with big wins and dumb losses trying to get the program on track again.
Oklahoma will be the same 10-2 / 11-1 team hoping to win the title.

Exactly right. There will absolutely be years where OU loses more games, but there will be years when you now have 2 Bamas to deal with. Anyone that doesn’t know that doesn’t know OU.

Georgia 54 OU 48
Alabama 45 OU 34
LSU 63 OU 28
OU 55 Florida 20
Georgia 54 OU 48 - 2017 in 2nd OT, this was a competitive game, so what's the point of this being here
Alabama 45 OU 34 - 2018 this was also a great game, and Bama went and got man handled by Clemson 2 weeks later 44-17
LSU 63 OU 28 - 2019 highest paid team in the land, Bama lost to both LSU and Burn that same year, way to make a statement with this one
OU 55 Florida 20 - 2020 OU had many new parts moving this year and still made a splash, imagine what it will be the next few years with the same players of that year.

Every year except for a few Oklahoma has either won against the SEC Big Teams or lost in a great game. Don't try and play at OU doesn't have what it takes to win the SEC. Last year OU beat the snot out of the SECs #2 team (ya ya something something about missing players, so was OU in that game), and will only be better than last year for the next several years to come.

Oklahoma is coming to SEC town and we don't care about team SEC. We hold our own and don't claim the victories of our conference brethren as our own. We wont be loud and obnoxious as those AtM idiots in the South. We come with accolades and a blueblood program that is amongst the best in the Nation. We have our bad years just as anyone else. But to say Oklahoma wont amount to anything in the SEC is just delusional, they said the same thing about OU going into the Big12, and they ended up owning that conference.

Missouri was an afterthought in the Big 12/Big 8.
A&M was a little better than Missouri, but they were still not the obvious top dog of the Big 12/SWC.

Neither one of those team magically became Kansas football since joining the SEC.

Missouri played a couple of SEC title games and has been bad sometimes as well.
That seems a lot like what Missouri was doing in the Big 12.

A&M is about the same as pre-SEC A&M.
They recruit top talent and A&M can possibly win the SEC if things break well. That was their Big 12 resume as well.

Why would Oklahoma and Texas fail miserably, when Missouri and A&M did not change much at all??

Our B12 resume was much worse than SEC. against lesser talent too
