You are the one in the thread comparing to Stafford to Keenum and Flacco.....and HE is the one that is insane?!? Yeah OK.

Stafford will net the Lions the equivalent of a 1st plus a little more. Too many teams need a QB in the league not to get that for a 32 year old one even if he is only an average starting QB.

He's not worth a 1st and anyone that believes he is worth it is insane. Especially a team that would willingly sacrifice a future star picked in the first round for a 33 year old QB that won't win you a Super Bowl.

A known quantity top 10 QB with several years left is definitely worth a first rounder unless it's very high pick.

It's one hundred percent accurate. Flacco had a SB ring and was a shell of an NFL QB by the time he came to Denver.. Kennum made a championship game but had nothing else to hang his hat on. Stafford has pretty numbers and has done nothing else. Stafford would be yet another failed veteran QB in Denver.

Flacco was a shell of a QB long before he arrived in Denver. He had a few magical playoff runs and that magical SB, Keenum had one really good year in Minnesota for his entire career. To compare Mathew Stafford with these guys is ludicrous.

Of course he is a top 10 QB, and of course he will fetch at least a #1 pick.

Stafford has pretty numbers and nothing else. If that’s what you like, good for you. That kind of QB is not worth a 1st round pick and is dang sure not a top 10 QB.

1/3 of the league is calling about Mathew Stafford, they know he is not Case Keenum and they know more about this than you do.

And whoever gets him won’t win a Super Bowl with him as their starter. Lots of “in the league” guys have been fired because they build losing teams. That’s all a move for Stafford will do. Lose.

You need to stop measuring QBs by only wins and losses. You have just said Watson sucks because the Texans had a losing record and have not won in the playoffs. You have just said QBs like Archie Manning and HOFer Sonny Jurgenson weren't any good. It's like rating a major league pitcher by that stat when anyone who knows anything about baseball knows there is so much more to wins and losses than one player.

In Stafford's case he was stuck on a crap team with a terrible organization. He had very little to work with and he does not play defense. He was also in a division with the Packers and Vikes who have been good for the majority of his career.

I said no such thing. Watson doesn’t suck. Watson has had success in the playoffs and is still in his early-mid 20s. That is a QB that is worth a 1st round pick and then some.

I’m not saying Stafford sucks; I’m saying a QB in his 30s that has 0 playoff wins is not worth a 1st round pick. Maybe it makes sense for the Niners or Colts who have complete teams to put him in, but even then you have to be very wary of a guy that has never won in the biggest situations in his career.

One more thing ironic about @megalodon30 stance is that he is the fan of a team who won the SB with the worst QB play in the history of the league to win a SB. There were about 90 QB's in the league at the time that could have won the SB in Manning's final year after the HGH wore off.

Stafford can EASILY win a SB with the right talent around him. It doesn't take an uber-elite QB to win a SB (although it sure as hell helps).

He carried the Lions....for quite a while.

Denver would only be so lucky to get him.

He has a Manning poster on his ceiling for target practice.

List your Top 10 - Here is mine in somewhat in order:

Mahomes
Jackson
Wilson
Rogers
Watson
Brady
Roeth
Allen
Murray

Top 9 due to Brees & Rivers retirement.

So who is the 10th???

Next batch has
Dak Prescott
Matt Ryan
Matt Stafford
.
.
.
Ryan Tannehill
Jimmy G
Darek Carr
Jarred Goff
Baker Mayfield
Carson Wentz

The way Joe Burrow & Justin Herbert played this year think those franchises will stick with them.

Lucky enough to remain a 6-10 team with a 6-10 QB. I wouldn’t call that luck.

Well sure you are. When you say he's the same as Flacco, who everyone knows sucked long before he got to Denver, and Case Keenum who had exactly one good season in his entire crappy career, you are saying Mathew Stafford.

Again 1/3 of the league is calling Detroit. If you want to continue to pretend you know more then these professionals you will continue to be called out on it.

I do know Matt Stafford isn't worth a first round pick and if anyone is stupid enough to actually give up a 1st round pick for him, they'll probably be fired soon. Not because I know more than them. I don't. But because they're stupid enough to believe Stafford is a Super Bowl quality QB. That's the only QB you should be giving up a 1st round pick for. And Stafford ain't it.

Whatever buddy. Keep pretending a message board poster knows more than professional NFL talent evaluators.
