Old Lion
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain
4:15 ET game this week in AZ as expected
Not sure I would go that far because Goff cant seem to hit the broad side of a barn so far. This is the worst defense the Lions are going to face all year. If the offense can't get going in this game it is time to start viewing Ben Johnson not taking an HC job elsewhere as a negative of the off-season.
Is it Ben Johnsons play calls or Jared Goff checking every fucking play down? This is the worst defense the Lions are going to face all year. If the offense can't get going in this game it is time to start viewing Ben Johnson not taking an HC job elsewhere as a negative of the off-season.
Ball going a few yards shy of 1st was extremely common last year too. Laporte and St Brown just finished with YAC. Bucs had been ready for it and no yac happened other than 1 crazy effort by Williams. Is it Ben Johnsons play calls or Jared Goff checking every fucking play down?
Defense offsides and you get a free play? Check down.
3rd and 10, you need to get 10 yards? Check down.
4th and 10 you absolutely need to get 10 yards, 8 yards does you zero good? Check down.
Time literally running out? Check down.
I hate to quote Matt Millen for anything, but: "Where are your testicles?"
He was a massive question mark going into the season, he was bad most of camp, but got the job by default when the other guy got put on IR.Is Jake Bates going to be a problem? The 2 xp he made were shaky too.
I was thinking the same thing. The ball is coming off his foot sideways. Better fix that shit.Is Jake Bates going to be a problem? The 2 xp he made were shaky too.
That field in AZ sucks. Guys just fall down and get hurt. Reminds me of the old Philly stadium. We have lots of depth on defense so we will survive for now. Offense is 1 injury away from not functioning IMO. Hopefully La Porta is OK. We dont have a ton of receiving options.Offense was pretty lackluster again. The fact that the defense did as good as it did with so many injuries on that side is great.
Davenport now done for the year, Barnes for some time. Sounds like McNeil and Branch might not miss a game, so that is promising.
For once I am thrilled for the early bye. Lions are battered out there
Both take a hit. Its Rags. Not like you are going to find better than him. I expect he will sit the game after the bye as well.Ragnow is listed as out for this Monday with a torn pectoral. Didn‘t see any prognosis for how long he’ll be out, just that it’s better to let him heal now so he’s available as the season goes on. Fortunately, we have some line depth to accommodate him missing time this week.
I wonder what part of the Offensive game plan will be the most impacted? Does the running game or the passing game take a hit? It was shaping up to be a defensive struggle based on how both teams have started. The Lions should be the best offense Seattle has seen so fart this year; hopefully, Goff steps up his play this week while the Detroit Defense continues to show how new and improved they’ve become.
Less up the middle, more sweeps to the right. Both take a hit. Its Rags. Not like you are going to find better than him. I expect he will sit the game after the bye as well.
