I'm impressed with Taggart's ability to re-build programs at the G5 level, as well as his ability to recruit and identify talent. Think this is going to turn out good for FSU.

Again, with Miss St. I see nothing that suggests he won't recruit at a top level @ Florida. Especially the QB position that Florida is desperate at. He's put tons of QB's into the NFL, even while at Miss St.

He's been a HC in the SEC for 9 years and has taken one of the worse teams in college football and turned them into a top25 team. They even made it to #1 for a short while, the first time in their entire history.

As I said before, the fact people don't understand the accomplishment is in itself a testament to how well he's done. He's basically been running with weights on his legs.

Also, he was the OC for both Florida NC's in 2006 and 2008. Meyer/Florida fell apart without him almost immediately.

I'd take Mullen over all the other hires I've seen this year.

Ok, more or less what you'd expect from people covering this. But @ Nebraska's Bill Moos...

Nebraska athletic director Bill Moos is not making friends at Oregon today. Moos, a former Ducks AD, fired a shot at UO in a Tom Shatel column today. Shatel said that he knew Huskers fans were worried that dominoes at Texas A&M and Florida State might open the football job at Oregon -- and Frost might jump back to the Ducks.

But Moos wasn't worried.

"He knows what Oregon is, what they have to offer," Moos told Shatel. "They don't have five national championships. As good as that program is, as soon as it fell flat, their fans left them.

"This (Nebraska) is so unique, so special, that Oregon aspired to be Nebraska and to be a Michigan and Ohio State."

Maybe a few teams move way up or down, but most players have committed and will stay that way. A few players haven't committed. I'd say drastic is a bit of a stretch.

I would presume he flew back last night to Oregon because he was on a boosters charter plane. Nothing more. Whether he was going to take it or not he had to fly back there and take his own flight out to Florida (If he's going there today) on a non ducks booster flight.

Ok, well enjoy your 4 stars and losing to the good teams every year if we can't expect either to improve in recruiting.

In this years class: Oregon has 24 players and is ranked 7th. Miss St has 25 and is ranked 11th.

Neither is going to finish in the top15. Oregon will finish the season around #18 and Miss St around #22.

Because he hasn't been able to recruit elite talent and Florida has sucked balls for awhile. We'll see -- Gators have nowhere to go but up.
