they put up 27 points against on a very good defense and they were mistakes on offense.
I'm still thinking about this one! It is a short week for the Commanders after playing a very tough Steelers team. The Eagles were on a bye but the schedule had them playing a practice game and I'm not sure whether or not it was good for the Commanders, bad for the Eagles or good for the Eagles and bad for the Commanders.

Maybe it's something that I'm not seeing with Ertz, but he seems more inclined to go down than catch and run. Perhaps he's unwilling to take hits as he once did, or thinking about life after football but this version of Zach isn't the same as the earlier version.

It’s probably age and I am ok with him being a stop gap for us there . You are absolutely right Sty

Let me pile on one thing not mentioned. It is inexcusable for a 15 year veteran to run that route short of the marker…and the refs screwed us with the mark…that was a full yard short of the worst possible spot.

Oops, I would be remissed if I didn’t mention Newton being the only person in the game, on the sideline, or watching the game that did not know they were just trying to draw us offsides.

I watched the game, but I didn’t rewatch that play, did he get open to catch that ball because the defender was guarding against the line to go? Like was he more open because they stopped him from getting beyond the marker? Or do you think he could have gone behind the yards to go?

This play was an underthrow and could have been called PI. Don't remember Luke dropping one but I do remember a bad miss when he was wide open or a post route. Brown and Ertz had drops. They scored on the same possession that Brown had the drop if I am remembering correctly.

this is what im pissed about. The refs thought he was touched when his knee went down. Fine in real time but then they reviewed it and it was clear he didnt get touched until he spun to the 41.

I think you are letting your bias get in the way of what actually happened.

It is unquestionable that Ertz made the question line to gain, he came back short of the line to gain, and was touched down somewhere in the process of extending.

It was unquestionably a bad spot on the field.

Here is where your Homer glasses come on. While I see it exactly as you do, it is unclear where the ball is when contact is made with Ertz. There is no shot directly down he line to gain, so parallax comes into play. At best, Ertz was exactly on the line to gain but we cannot see it clearly so the call on the field must stand.

Ertz easily could have made six more inches on his route. He made the catch a half yard beyond the sticks.

when he gets touched the ball is on the 41 yardline. I will leave at that
