After that frame, Ertz own momentum took him forward short of the marker. Had he been pushed forward by a Steelers defender, it would have been a different story.

I think he might have still had it before he was contacted on the ground, but there was no definitive angle to overturn the call on the field.

It looked like he gave up about half a yard between when he initially caught the ball and when he was contacted.

It would not have been an issue had he ran his route a bit deeper.

true, when he caught it, he did go back but when he went forward no one touched him until he got to the 41 yard line where the first down marker was. I couldnt believe they missed it on replay, I understand real time it was tough call.

That's how I saw it as well. He gave up some when he turned. Perhaps he had gotten to the line by the time he was touched but there was no camera shot of that so no way they reverse the call. I'm OK with the call but to spot it a yard short as they did was kind of weird.

It was close. Had it been ruled a first down on the field, it would have stood, IMO.

I'm just so happy to be excited about 3rd and 7 and upset at a tough loss. It's been a long time since I felt those emotions.

I am spoiled. When I see Jayden Daniels miss open receivers and failing to outrun a single defender all game I think the Earth is off its axis. But the drops killed them, as jy mentioned they were not swing passes they should have been big plays.

The defense is much improved, I can't wait to see Lattimore replace the PI machine that is BSJ. Anyone else notice how the run defense improved once Jon Allen left the field? I really saw the Steelers gutting them all day as the Giants did but that didn't really happen.

But we showed we are for real and can play with anyone in the league. Still believe they are a year away but they will be in the playoffs and gain valuable experience.

I am a little perturbed the offense is getting so much attention or finger pointing in the loss. 27 points were scored, enough that you should win. We all but abandoned the run early playing the shoot out game. We praised CR Jr last week but gave him 2 carries this week? Daniels had 34 attempts against a formidable Steelers front? We lost the battle in the trenches, period. I'm looking at you KK.
Defensively, we also lost the battle in the trenches. Pickens ate BSJ' lunch as did Mike Williams on 1 play. Tackling was poor this week. Situational football was not as good as past weeks. Daniels had 5 yards on 3 carries which is not the norm.
I believe we bounce back after a game of miscue's that we certainly could have won.

I am not too upset with the game . JD5 was off yesterday. . The passing game had a lot of drops , they hadn’t done that much before. We are still in the hunt for the division and Wild card . We are ahead of schedule in my opinion and this is all a part of learning how to win . On to Philly

They did not miss it. They did not have the proper angle to overturn it.

The real problem was how bad the original spot was. While I understand not overturning the play, they missed the original spot by a full yard.
