Yeah I think it's clear there was no evidence to overturn. So what are we arguing here? That the Steelers got the ball at the 42 when it should have been the 41?

im arguing that the replay never accounted for Ertz not being touched. He had the 41 on the turn. which would have been 1st down

Sure it did. He caught the ball right at the 41, but he was leaning forward and moving away from the 41 at the time of the catch. This is not the end zone where the play ends once the ball is on the line, this play was still alive and after the catch there was a point in time where he was short of the 41.

When he turned he was still short before moving to it and being touched, thus he was down at that spot. The problem is we have no replay that shows the ball at the time he was touched.

yes the play was still alive b/c he wasn't touched. the turn had him at the 41. I dont believe he was short during the turn. when touched the ball was at the 41. Not even to get a measurement??? two bad calls in a row the Brown PI and now this one.

And Watt got held in the end zone and it should have been a safety. Refs sucked both ways.

cmon the game was on the line here. to blow 2 calls back-to-back on the last drive of the game. What if this was a playoff game?

Well, if it was a playoff game the NFL would never admit to such errors, what they would do instead is come up with some rule to cover it in the future, like the "Tuck rule." "Illegal batting," and a whole bunch of rules against gravity and roughing the QB.

The only thing they blew was marking it at the 42 and not just short of the 41. Which only meant the Bears got it at the 42 and not just short of the 41. There is no proof what so ever that Ertz got the first down, you are being a homer IMO.

Patrick Queen was available in FA this off season. Honestly, he looked good and a step faster than Wagner during the match up. He did not allow JD to run amuck.
