No matter what spurs do. They can't have a higher seeding than portland

True but they can have HCA as long as they finish with a better record....same goes for the Clippers.

Portland will be the 4 seed but they may not have HCA if either the Clippers or Spurs finish with a better record than they do

Yup. But spurs can't get the 4th. So if they're 5th. They can leapfrog to 3rd

And that means absolutely nothing. As a Spurs fan would you give a damn if you're 5th with HCA? Or would you rather be Portland and have the "higher seed" but don't have HCA?

Sunday is Warriors @ Spurs.

I expect the Spurs to stomp them out.....send them a little message and give them something to think about when they meet in the 2nd round in early May

Maybe, but I'm not so sure. Spurs are clearly rounding into top notch form, but the GS win at LAC was also quite impressive, particularly since it was without Green. Bogut and Lee seemed to mesh very well up front for GS. Add to that the contributions from Speights and Ezili, and I think that GS might be more formidable than I'd previously thought.

I still don't have a lot of trust in GSW role players outside of Iggy and Green to show up in a big spot in the playoffs. I have much more trust in the Spurs role players to show up in a big spot in the playoffs

SAS certainly has history in its favor over GS. Still, history doesn't always repeat itself. Also not sure that I'd call Green merely a "role player". For example, wasn't that long ago that Kawhi Leonard was thought of as merely a role player. Much as I love how the Spurs play, I'm not convinced that they are invincible.

The Spurs are a true dynasty. A team being this good for this long isn't supposed to happen. Like… ever.

One of the reasons why I think Tim Duncan is the most under appreciated LEGEND in the game. He's a top 10 player of all-time easily in my book. Maybe even top 5.

Never said anything about showing up in the regular season. Do I trust them to show up down 3-2 in a series down 5 with 6 to go away from golden state? No not at the moment

Well ok then lol. The whole team would have to show up at that moment. I was talking more overall performance

I'm talking more about a big spot away from home. A lot of role players game doesn't travel away from home. Most of them play better @ home. On Miami the only role players I really trusted to hit a big shot away from Miami in the playoffs were Ray, Chalmers, & battier. I would not trust any of the other guys to make a big play late in a playoffs game away from Miami

I think SA will be hard pressed to catch anyone without some help of another team free-falling.
They dont have any tiebreaks.

There was one devastating series of home losses where they were completely undermanned that haunts them.
They lost two consecutive triple overtime games to Memphis/Portland without Parker, Leonard, Mills, and Ginobili.

The B team backups played well enough to force triple OT. But, each time came up short.
Those two injury laden games are killing the tiebreakers.

I am resolved to see them most likely in the 6 seed.
They lost too many games when Parker, Leonard, Splitter, and Mills were always injured.

I wish they'd go back to their every-other-year pattern.

But you act like they will stomp all over any team that faces them. Including the warriors

You are projecting.

Since when is a compliment/opinion about one Team seen as a disparagement towards another?

We all know that the Warriors have been OUTSTANDING this Season.

But, until someone pus them to sleep, I'm picking the Spurs to go to the Finals.
