Not that all drafts arent important, but this one will be extremely vital. We are obviously close to winning a championship and a good draft could be enough to push us over the hump and bring home a trophy. We cant miss this great opportunity. Hopefully Baalke proves he can do well drafting late.

as long as we place our expectations in a reasonable place?

even before the draft, what he does in free agency (including our own) will make much more difference next season. this is the time when Baalke can CONSIDER any high end free agent.

What we need:

1. WR
2. WR
3. WR
4. WR
5. WR
6. WR
7. CB
8. G
9. C
10. OLB

I'd say we absolutely have 1 glaring need on this team.

Before he can consider we need to know what kind of cap space we have so us arm chair GMs can start dreaming.

what we need is a Cb,WR,RG,Safety,qb,Center

If we can resign Rogers then CB is lower on my list. Just get a couple prospects late in the draft or undrafted FAs.

WR is a huge need...draft and/or FA

RG...would like to see Snyder back and Kilgore compete. possibly draft another late round guy.

Safety...franchise tag Goldson if he won't take something reasonable (likely). Hopefully keep Reggie Smith around (doubtful). Colin Jones maybe??? He looked good on STs.

QB-resign Alex to cheap contract

Center- draft a guy late to learn behind Goodwin.

I want to bring in a top WR free agent (Jackson, Bowe) and also draft one high (2nd round, maybe even the 1st).

agree. we'll be looking for a vet WR before the draft, whether we actually sign one remains to be seen? the WR we target may not be full of tools like Edwards or even DeSean, but a proven WR.

we then go into the draft and see who falls? if WR is best talent, then draft him. if not best talent, start to target a quick, slot type WR later on.

I believe its estimated we'll have just a tad over 40 million to work with.

We can also get some additional room by cutting Spencer who is do around 3.3 million.
