Running Back is now a low cost, youth oriented position... and we already have Ellington (Gem), Taylor (Prospect) and Williams (Intriguing Prospect) on the roster....

Williams can show what he has, and if he doesn't.... he is gone.. saving 1 Million in cap space, but also enabling us to pick up another low cost kid (LSU's Hill ??) in the 4th or 5th round....


All they have to be able to do is pick up a blitz... a tough assignment, but not an impossible one.

I'd never draft a RB in the first 3 rounds.... just not enough value in them right now.

I definitely agree that RB isn't a priority & should be a mid-late round draft selection. I am still driving the Jeremy Hill in the 4th round train.

Otherwise just grab a cheap RB late in FA if Williams can't show he can be productive as the 3rd RB.

Jeremy hill is my choice also. I just don't know if he falls into the fourth round range. We will see.

RB's are DEEP this year....

I think he'll be there in the 4th.... and probably even the 5th...

Mendenhall was really reliable around the goal line, but he also had some terrible fumbles and was pretty subpar in general. Easily replaceable.
