Stroud is already a better qb in every possible way. Hell man...look at what Goff is working with instead of Stroud. Not saying Stroud has hot trash around him but Goff has a better offense by far.

Baker is basically a poor man's Goff. But if he's signing for 20 million and Goff costs 40 I can see a team like TB wanting Baker instead.
Stroud is a legit MVP candidate as a rookie.....seriously doubt he gets it but he is def a candidate.

Take him off that team and they win 3-4 games with Davis Mills at QB.

Falling back on Lamar doesn’t help you with Goff. No one mentioned Lamar but you.
Claiming one playoff game as a measurement of a QB’s value doesn’t help you either. Case in point Lamar.

happen to think he will get very close to that based on what Geno got.
Smith is due $22.5M for 2024. It's not a certainty that the Seahawks will keep him at that price. A decision is due in early February. He's a hard player to value. Potentially another team could be prepared to trade for that contract. Alternatively Smith's market might be $17-20M. I think Mayfield is worth less.

$20M for Mayfield? I could see $35M for Goff, maybe $40M at a push, but not $20M for Mayfield. He's worth a lot more than his $4M/1 year Buccaneers deal, but he's not a $20M player.

Is this just your opinion or is it the actual market?

A QB in his prime who is #2 passing yards and #4 in TD’s this season, seems like $40 million is far from a push. Especially since he has had 4500 or more passing yards four other seasons.

I’m hoping if the Lions keep him, it won’t be closer to $50 million a season.

No he isn’t. Rookies sometimes have big years until all the intel comes out on them, and many fade away.

Stroud did not have a statistically better year than Goff. Although I would certainly trade him for Goff in a second.
Stroud threw 23 TD's to just 5 picks. Best TD-Int ratio in the League.

He also led the League with 274ypg. Flacco and KC didn't play enough games.

8.2ypa is elite.

But I gave you 3 playoff games in a row. Lolol

Dude had 1 TD with plenty of weapons and solid Oline.

I didn’t make his stats up man those are his

Good enough to beat your shitty Rams. And your midget HC.

More chest beating and against our shitty secondary yes. Don’t get all emotional on me Schmitty I am rooting for y’all.

Don’t act like you didn’t watch Goff lay stinker games this year when under pressure.

I’ve watch Goff for a long time.

Seriously, you want to compare 3 in a row from Lamar?

It’s a terrible way of measuring the value of a QB.

they're both hard to value because they are stuck in the middle of a rookie market or elite high paid market. I will grant you that.

You obviously didn’t watch him this year. He wasn’t bad. He was very good, if not great this season. He had ups and downs like every other QB, yet put up impressive stats.

You keep being up Lamar. It’s hilarious. Ive just given you Goff’s stats in the playoffs

At least Lamar can escape the pocket. Goff wears concrete boots and that’s a problem. Been that way all year actually lol

Of course I do, because it’s easy to pick apart your lame critique with Lamar. :noidea:

Admit it, you didn’t watch Goff much at all this year.

I think you resign Goff now for something like 3 years $150 million dollar range with the 3rd year being back loaded with an out. In the meantime, they need to draft a developmental QB (I don’t know the depth chart well, maybe the Lions already in the process of developing that guy). You can even give the agent a win and pump the totals up with a 4th year. The important thing is the structure that allows them to revisit this in 2 years with an out.

Well obviously it's just my opinion and my opinion has been on the low side many times. I like Goff a lot more than most fans. I thought the Rams significantly overpaid for Stafford. Goff is a very high ceiling, extremely low floor QB. If the Lions are willing to pay Goff more then I wish them well. Goff is due $26.65M this year. If Goff isn't willing to replace that deal with something like a $150M/4 year deal with the 1st 2 years and 1/3rd of year 3 fully guaranteed at signing then i'd let him play out his deal. In that scenario i'd tag him after 2024 or move on. Again, good luck.

You won’t get him for that.

You are adorable. I’ve watched Goff much much more than you and for many years.

Hey I’ll be here when he lays another stinker. Good news is our secondary wasn’t good and then you get Philly/Bucs winner. San Fran will bury Goff

This is what I’ve seen as the numbers that Goff can expect:
