The funny thing is you could probably put the same three players up for the Hart trophy...
Toews – +31
Datsyuk – +21
Bergeron – +24
with the defense that the Wings put on the ice this yera im shocked the Datsyuk's +/- is even close to these two guys...
The Wings gave up 6 goals more than the Bruins. When you factor in that Detroit gave up 30 Power Play goals to the Bruins 21, the goals that affect +/- are lower for Detroit.
A 3 goal difference is negligible. Boston scored 127(18PP) goals to Detroit 122(34PP) so the discrepancy goes much further than just goals surendered IMO.
I think the three candidates are fairly even so i dont think anyone can complain if one of these three win it.
Pretty much no issues at all.
Come on why couldn't they add some controversy by adding Jeff Skinner and Matt Cooke.
