I never got into the Ramones. Can't believe I forgot the Misfits. And I don't know if I consider Social D punk, what with their newer grungy rockabilly stuff.
You don't have to get into them yourself to acknowledge what they did for the scene. I'm not personally a fan of a lot of the early NYHC acts like Warzone or Agnostic Front, but they did a lot for later acts.

Social Distortion changed in the mid-80s, but they were definitely a pioneer of the early SoCal punk and hardcore scene in their first 8-10 years or so.

The Ramones gave us Blitzkrieg Bop, one of the greatest arena songs of all time.

Hey, voter fraud!!

The former chairman of Colorado's Republican Party was charged with forgery and voter fraud for allegedly forging his wife's mail-in ballot for the 2016 election, a local Fox News affiliate reported late Tuesday.

Steven Curtis, who was the chairman of the state party from 1997 to 1999, was charged on Feb. 1 with one count of forgery of a public record, a fifth-degree felony, and an elections mail-in ballot offense, which is a misdemeanor. Curtis is accused of filling out his wife's ballot and forging her signature.

He'd probably yell two as an alternative fact.

And Ted Knight = American people.

I honestly don't think we're going to erase the deficit in the next ten years and with that in mind I have no idea why the Liberals aren't increasing spending in areas like infrastructure. If we're going to borrow endlessly we might as well get something in return. This excuse that "we don't know what the US will do under Donald Trump" is baloney. Since when do you freeze your government's agenda because of an election in another country?

This is a most excellent post and I agree wholeheartedly with it.

This here's my favourite:

The public transit tax credit, which allows the cost of transit passes to be deducted, is being eliminated effective July 1.

Hey, what better way to help the poor and the middle class and promoting public transit than by adding an extra $200 or so per year to the cost of a public transit pass and then not using that revenue to increase services?
