Makes you wonder why that minor league trade was even made? Both players are essentially the same and have zero trajectory upward in the organizations. It just makes more work for the equipment manager to have to update the name on the back of a jersey.

Turned into a good bottom 6 forward.

His trade tree did help the Penguins get Kessel who in turn helped them get two cups.
It also included the ever revolving act of trying to get a goalie in Toronto, that time it was Andersen.

Sometimes they do it to give the players a change at their own request to give them an opportunity somewhere else that they believe they have a better chance at and to see if it sparks themselves

Fun fact on Saros

His shiny new extensions kicks in July 1, complete with NTC

If the Preds have buyers remorse (and they should) they need to offload this guy either at the trade deadline or before the draft.

I joked about Demko in the Canucks thread, but they need to look at guys like Demko, Markstrom. Teams that think they have a real shot this year, but have injured or uncertain goalies. NSH needs a goalie back though. so teams like EDM dont make sense

It wont happen but I sure wish it would.

Saros track record and knowing the Predators are a hot mess, they might get a gullible taker. :D

Seriously though, I didn't know how back it was until I just looked at puckpedia and all the over 30-year-old's with long term contracts with NMC/NTC. Like the Penguins there is no hope for the Predators in the near future.

Agreed, very similar situations. And no prospects to get excited about.

First Atlanta, now New Orleans what is next Birmingham Alabama?

Is it just me or is this a pretty snazzy looking jersey?

Super Bowl champion Jalen Hurts was rocking the CFL Birmingham Barracudas jersey a couple of years ago before a NFL preseason game...
