damn.

I have relatives in Houston.
As of yesterday, they said the wind wasn't bad, but the rain was unbelievable.
Avg annual rainfall in Houston is 50 inches. they could get that inside of a week.
My sister in law in Houston was texting me yesterday because she was bored. The weather was nice, but everything was closed so she was stuck doing nothing. Wonder how today is going.

Hurricane Harvey And The Potential Hypocrisy Of Texas Republicans

Good luck with this one...

...But when it was New York and New Jersey hit hard by Hurricane Sandy in 2012, all but one Texas Republican in Congress ― Rep. John Culberson ― voted against a $50.5 billion package to help people in those states.

Yeah their argument was the pork spending but like I said good luck justifying relief package here.

Is Joel Osteen's megachurch too flooded to help Hurricane Harvey victims?

In the above article those pic's someone says is the church are not true.

Here is someone showing a video around his church 12 hours ago:

And Joel stated it is flooded around his church and people couldn't get to the church as a shelter....Guess he needs to check his own Church's twitter feed from 2 hours ago!

It's one level of horribleness to announce it then and for that reason, but to proudly admit it (or claim it) three days later when half of the 4th largest city in the country is underwater and people are suffering is a whole new level of horrible. Regardless of his party affiliation, this man is garbage and we should all be ashamed.

comeds, just wait until President Trump sends the cleanup bill south to Mexico City claiming that since the storm originated in the Gulf of Mexico, they're on the hook for repairs.

You also realize that some of those people would be the first ones to stand up and say that it was "God's vengeance for _________" if it happened pretty much anywhere else.

And kind of funny how they want the "free market" to solve everything else and Socialism is pure evil. Until, of course, they need the help.
