I don't think Wade Phillips could have done much with that Oakland D.

Bevell is his coach, at some point when the same problema are constantly recurring and his qb is making bad throws early in games the coach has to take responsibility.

In all these years under bevell they have not figured out how to be effective in the first half. They either have poor game plans or no game plan and certainly they do not script plays.

I suppose we are known as one of the best 2nd half teams in season performance and in game.
If that is true, does that mean Bevell becomes one of the best OC's when the season/game is on the line? Overall, our results the last 5 or 6 years agree with you.

I dont think bevell suddenly becomes the greatest oc in the game, i think wilson puts the team on his back when its evident he has to.

I havent looked, but i would bet bigly that wilsons rush yardage is 80% in 2nd and 4th quarters hence the improved offensive output.

Well, you'd lose. For his career Russell averages just shy of 60% of his rushing yard in the 2nd and 4th. Not quite the 80% you want to believe. That isn’t hard to believe since Russell himself has said he’s a lot less inclined to run until the last 2 minutes of each half.
