Bill Bergen for HoF!
Positives:
Russell Wilson - Wilson is having a good season overall. He's currently on pace to break his team record in passing yard for the 3rd straight season - and he's close to his team TD record as well. He hasn't been perfect, and his turnovers have helped lose a couple games this season - but in all honesty he hasn't had a lot of help from his running game or OLine either.
Jimmy Graham - It's time to retire even the thought that Seattle hasn't learned how to use Graham, as his 7 TDs in the last 6 games can attest that they have definitely found a way to use him. All of those TDs have come in the red zone and only 2 have been from farther than the 4 (an 18 and 6 yarders).
Negatives:
Injuries - This is going to be the theme for the rest of the 2017 season. A quick glance at the IR and Out columns of the injury report shows 11 players who should be starting out for this game. 4 more are listed as questionable. 15 of our 22 starters are listed as at least questionable to play today. Going into any game with your #4-6 CBs isn't ideal. SF has been hit just as hard though, so our depth should help negate just how bad this is - for this week at least.
Carlos Hyde - Hyde has had a pretty bad season for the most part - except the game he played against Seattle in week 2 (124 yards rushing). In fact, Hyde averages more yards per game against us (68.2) than against any other team he has played more than once other than the Giants (72.0).
Watch For:
Running Game - Look for Seattle to try to get their struggling running game going. Joekel is back this week, and Brown should be out there (listed as questionable) so we should be close to 100% on the OLine. SF is ranked 32 against the run. Lacy, McKissic and Rawls will need to carry the load, as they are the only active running backs. Presonally, I would love to see Rawls finally get back to form, but this entire RB room as been so inconsistent and injury prone the last 2 seasons that I just want to see someone do well and stay healthy.
Turnovers - Seattle's D has been opportunistic in getting turnovers this season - and San Francisco has turned it over at least 2 times in each of their last 4 games.
Overview:
In a lot of ways this game is an easy win for Seattle - on paper. Even with all the injuries to the Hawks, they still have more talent and the 9ers are equally injury bit. But, even full strength in week 2 at home, Seattle managed just 12 points in a 3 point win. Seattle has to find a way to give themselves some confidence going into the remainder of their season, as the next 4 are against potential playoff teams (though Dallas may be out of the hunt by week 16).
