Seriously though.... the last decade has been a down turn for the niners.... three NFC Championship games and a super bowl appearance in that time frame. That looks awfully close to the entire accomplishment of the seahawks throughout history. kind of sad.

So you rag on a Cards fan for bring up the past and here you are bring up the past. Fucking hypocrite.

3 winning seasons and 3 NFC championship games, and NFC Championship and a super bowl..... those are the bad years which look an awful lot like Seattles best years.. Did I mention 5-0 now and considered best team in NFC by most currently?

No, those aren't the bad years, dumbass, these are:

2003 - 7-9
2004 - 2-14
2005 - 4-12
2006 - 7-9
2007 - 5-11
2008 - 7-9
2009 - 8-8 <--- Wow! Nice season!
2010 - 6-10
2014 - 8-8
2015 - 5-11
2016 - 2-14
2017 - 6-10
2018 - 4-12

Tell us again how the 3 years the team was good were the "bad years."

Hey. You and I have butted heads many many many times over multiple forums over however many years. But you don't disappear during the dark times and you don't crow just because things are turning up.

Gotta give you credit where credit is due.

It is what it is....guys pop up and pop off. It's really not even about football anymore with some of them. This guy is rarely - if ever - in the Niners forums, so I think his agenda is quite clear. As for sticking around when times are tough....it's easy if you come to the realization that you aren't actually responsible for your teams failures (or successes for that matter). It sounds stupid, but you never know with some of these people.

I don't mind trash talking when people are around for the bad side. It's just trolling if you are only here for the good times.

I completely agree about investing in your team to the appropriate level. We don't play for the teams. We just follow them.

Gee wonder what happened to 2011, 2012, and 2013.... its almost like someone doesnt' want to talk about those years.

Anyways, back to 2019.... Niners are 5-0 and in charge of the NFC West, and the best team in the conference.

The 49ers down years look a lot like the seahawks glory year or two.
Ha! Good one.
I'm sure the responses from other Seahawk fans wont get you down, but please understand their position.
It's been a while since we have had to deal with someone who is obsessed with seeing a Seahawk downfall. Right now I want to thank you for your interest with our team. It helps to confirm our relevance.
I completely get your drift. SF winning 5 SBs. We only have 1. One would naturally think SF>>>>Seattle, right? Well, maybe not. In all time H to H competition, the Seahawks have caused the SF tears to fall in 25 of 41 matchups. 25 vs 16??? A whopping 61%. SF increased their loss percentage to Seattle since Seattle moved into the NFCW in 2002. 19 losses vs 11 wins...63%!!!
With that in mind I now better understand your preoccupation with all things Seattle. The Seahawks have intruded your mind. You are obsessed with a team that you are powerless to resist. 25 to 16 H to H.
Kids today call that ownage, don't they?

Niners have ups and downs.... Lombardis during ups and losses during downs...

Cardinals just have never ending downs.... Nothing at all to show for their so called "Good years". Sad. But keep telling us about your greatest achievement, beating a bad niner team consecutively when you had an entirely different team and coaching staff.

Not too many ups in the salary cap era (starting with the 1994 season); 6 playoff wins and one losing Super Bowl appearance, most in a 3 year clump. 9 playoff wins altogether over the 52 years without Montana/Young (most of that pre-cap).

2009 was a nice season considering where they were as a franchise.

Well if you start with the 94 season that includes the super bowl run which was three wins meaning the 9 wins is actually 12 and of those playoff appearances which would be 10 playoff appearances four of them led to the Super Bowl or NFC Championship game. The Montana/Young business is lame I wouldn't cherry pick the Rams history by leaving out the Warmer /Faulk years.

Through 6 weeks? WOW! You must be so proud! Do they make banners and rings for that?

You think 6 weeks is small timeframe in a 16 game season?

I guess I would try to convince myself that too if I entered the season thinking I would win the division and by week 6 had dropped two division games.

Lets just put it this way.... when people are arguing best team in the nfl both historically and currently... 9ers have a seat at the table... seahawks don't.

That superbowl was in '94 for the '93 season. Pre-salary cap.

Ok, then why your deep focus on Seattle? The fact you start threads like this shows their relevance in your noggin.

Sorry you are wrong it was for the 1994 season played January 29th 1995. I'm a Niners fan I know my Niners history best not to argue with someone that actually pays attention to his team weather they suck or are winning championships.
