I'm not about to rule out the very real chance that the Cards win in Seattle. Always seems to happen for some god damn reason.

Sure, division games have always been like that. Way back to the AFC West days, horrible Hawks teams would routinely play the Elway Broncos tough, and pull out some improbable wins.

I kinda' get the vibe though that both SF and ARI are mailing it in for draft slot this year though. That'll always help.

I am. At least those teams had Carson Palmer or Kurt Warner. The current Cards team is very not good. You load up to stop the run and let Rosen beat himself.

They even beat us at home in 2013. Former 49ers LB Ricki Ellison is a friend of mine (met him thru the military, oddly enough, and his son Rhett plays TE for the G-men), texted me that year and said that championship teams don't lose in Dec....we lost that game and @ SF and still won SB48, so it didn't hold true that year!

I think we got AZ handled this time though. They have a BRUTAL net point differential of -138. Only the Raiders are worse (-140).

At this point I'd be surprised if KJ Wright plays again this year. The murmurs don't seem very hopeful.

Getting Kendricks back will be a boon for the LB crew, though.

If we lose any of these key games against the 49ers and cardinals with rookie QBs after most of the league has been beating them ill be pissed

Oh, definitely. It'll be a huge buzzkill to drop any of those 3 games. Hard to see it happening....SF has no QB, so we'll be able to load up on the run to hopefully address what has been a bit of a surprising weakness on defense; AZ has the 2nd worst point differential in the league, and we play them here. It's hard to blow teams out in the NFL, particularly when you have an offense that really isn't set up to do that to teams, but these should be 3 comfortable wins.

New Orleans didn't do us any favors by losing to the Cowboys last night. The Cowboys could still become a factor in the wild card race depending on what everyone else in the NFC East does. At least we have that tie breaker over them.

Yeah, it was an odd game. I really didn't expect the Saints to lose, but it was the manner in which they lost that was puzzling -- shut out in the first half and just an overall feeble offensive showing.

As it sits now, I have to think Dallas is the fave to with that division. But so many h2h matchups left that affect the outcome that it's tough to tell. Got a bit tougher last night.

I don't think Dallas is worrisome only because they likely win the division. With Colt McCoy running the show the Skins should fall behind in the Wild Card race, leaving the Eagles to contend with if they can find any semblance of competitiveness.

Someone has to win that division and that takes them out of competition for stealing a Hawks playoff spot.

I don't think anyone in the NFCE threatens our playoff chances, but how that division shakes out could affect who our 1st round matchup is. If Dallas gets on a roll here off that big win last night, they could end up as the 3 seed. That means we would play NFCN champ in the wild card round.

Saints losing means they have to play out if they want that #1 seed, this is a good thing for the Hawks. Dallas isn't going to take out the Hawks chances at any playoff spot. Hawks hold the Head to head advantage and no NFC East team is making the playoffs as a wildcard. ( well very unlikely ) Hawks need to win all the games between the 49ers and the Cards and if they can Beat the Vikings then they are pretty much locked in as the 5th Seed.

As much as I like Hunt, and I think his accusation of "assault" is way overblown if you watch the video, I just don't think he fills any needs on this Seahawk team. We actually are in really nice shape at the RB position for the first time in a few years. So Hunt is luxury we don't need.

But it's still nice to know he won't be in KC's backfield when we play them in week 16. An improbable win for sure but Hunt's absence tilts the scale our way a little bit.

100%, that is a bonus for us. I thought the same thing almost immediately after heard the Chiefs dumped him.

He'll be on the commissioner's exempt list anyway, so I doubt any team picks him up before this whole thing is settled. Quite possibly may never play in the league again.
