Outside of the Bucs game way back in week 3, this offense hasn't been sharp or disciplined all season. They eeked out a lot of wins up until the Niners game

I am seriously hoping we bring in an offensive coach...

I'm good with Quinn coming in. He can reestablish our defense and bring in a young assistant OC from a good offensive team. If we wait for say MacDonald than FO better be quick on the horn and have a contract in hand as soon as he gets off the plane.

If they hire that hack, Quinn, I'm done. Why he gets so much praise boggles my mind. The only thing he will establish is more of the same shit we've dealt with the past several seasons.

OC of Philly?

He's been in place 1 season now, with at best modest results. Eagles have had a pop gun offense since about week 12, so hard to see that translating to getting looks for a HC. The best thing about interviewing him would be satisfying the Rooney Rule.

New HC hired? Scary thought considering they only interviewed a few possibilities and if they do announce a new HC I would guess Quinn is the hire. Hard to get excited about a hire like that, well unless yout ticked off that is.

Anything is possible but I would guess this is more of a state of the Seahawks type thing than an announcement.

Unless Dan Quinn was a fait accompli the whole time but that seems unlikely.

Yeah not much of substance was said- Seahawks underachieved in 2023-blessing to work with Pete-process for next HC has started yada yada yada. JS will have final control on players acquisition was a nugget, means the candidates who want to help choose the groceries will look to see if other teams will give them that power.

What's interesting to me was that JS talked about building a portfolio of coaches for Paul Allen and then was told about Pete being hired. I always thought that John was basically hired to work with Pete.

My 3 biggest takeaways from the press conference:

• The HC search (interviews) begins tomorrow. I take this to mean they have not interviewed anyone up to this point, e.g. Vrabel.
• In the new organizational structure, the coaching staff falls under JS's purview.
• JS will have final say in all personnel decisions.

at the end he was asked about special teams coaches and he mentioned hiring a DC as head coach and then losing your OC and having an inconsistent environment for the QB, paraphrasing.

he almost sounded convinced, will they really hire a DC? maybe schneider wants to create an environment where a QB can excel and not have to cycle through different offenses and coordinators. i hope thats the case.
