Not counting them out, just like I didn't count out Baltimore and Tampa after some great defensive led SB's with mediocre QB's. But the chance of them putting it together without much improved QB play is really weak.

I just don't get the Raiders hype. I understand the makeup of their team and don't need to hear about some of the young players, I just don't think they are that good. Personally I don't expect them to finish at .500, let alone far enough above it to be talked about as one of the best teams in the Conference.:noidea:

I think that division is open. Oakland I think has as good of a shot as anyone there. They made big improvements last year with their young guys improving which is a good sign going forward. They can throw the ball and get after the QB. Good offensive line, fine front 7 on D. They have holes. They could regress... But if I had to choose where their needle is pointing, I'd say up.

I think a very good case can be made for the Chiefs and the Raiders. I'm not buying the Chargers.

The only reason I'd pick the chargers is pretty often a team goes from worst to first in a division (Redskins last year for example). And if I had to pick one... it would be between Dallas and San Diego for me. Not buying them, but hard to throw them out as long as Rivers is their QB.

Trevor Siemian is going to be a lot better than people realize.

This brings up an interesting question I'm curious about: has any qb ever had a middling college football career and gone on to be good in the NFL?

Sure, but they don't deserve any confidence until proven otherwise. I think I would be justifiably called a homer if I hyped up Tyler Bray or Aaron Murray for instance and they, imo, had better NFL stock than Siemian did. Just callin' a spade a spade. If I am wrong and Siemian is kinda sorta competent, feel free to bookmark this comment for giggles.

You misunderstand me: I'm genuinely asking for examples of qb's that had average at best college careers that turned into good pro quaterbacks.

I'm not a believer in the Siemian hype at all.

2015: 0 interceptions and didn't even throw an incomplete pass...so the arrow is heading upward:thumb:

I'd have to say Tom Brady seeing he went 6th round at what 199th?

That defense is still great, do they have it in them to get Denver back to the Super Bowl though?

What hype? Because there are a few articles about Siemian doesn't mean there is hype. Just means there is nothing else to write about for some idiot writers and bloggers. Like I said before talk to me when training camp starts and a few preseason games are in the books. This is all pure speculation but I'd say mostly pure garbage. I'm out. Peace.

Please don't tell me you are putting most of the blame on Brock versus the Chargers?
Brock had 2 interceptions and a lost fumble in that game, and in 2 and a half quarters of work the Broncos offense had only managed 7 points. Peyton Manning, 2015 Super Bowl winning quarterback. Peace.

He's being hyped up as potentially winning the starting job. I don't believe it. Hence, I'm not buying the hype.

You don't have to buy into the hype. You can just believe in Sanchez. Peace
