First 46 minutes - Grizzlies 102 - Thunder 99
last 2 minutes - Westbrook 15- Grizzlies 0

Westbrook with 38, 12 and 12 and 17-17 from the line. I've watched a lot of basketball in my day. Never seen anyone with a motor like this guy.

I took a walk to my kitchen with the Grizz up 102-99. When I came back it was OKC 110-102. Had no idea what happened

The Thunder went on a 11-3 run. Duh. Just kidding.

Yes, I know, the above should say Westbrook, not the Thunder. But I was trying to be obtuse. Mission accomplished!

Thunder need to trade him and do a rebuild. Boston has the picks to trade and he would make them an instant title contender.

Trading a top 5 player for draft picks who you have no idea if they would pan out doesn't make sense. Unless your goal is to suck for the next 5+ years.

Presti has a proven track record in the draft. Westbrook will not stick around long term to make playoffs as teh 7th seed.

That's why Presti need to make other moves to bring a guy like Blake Griffin or a 2nd star to play with Westbrook. Trading away Russ would just be stupid. This is their first year without KD. They haven't even had a full off-season to make moves knowing KD won't be there. By the time KD left, all of the other top players already made their decisions. Making the playoffs as a 6th or 7th seed in the Western Conference in your first year without the 2nd player is a bad thing?

LMAO at ready to wave the white flag and give up on your top 5 player because you won 45+ games and made the playoffs as a 6th or 7th seed in the first year without Durant. Unreal

LMAO away. They can't just "bring in" a player like Blake Griffin. They have no money and no one to trade.

He's my fav ball player but I don't agree with instant contender. Thomas is just under him in scoring, yet the Celts are maybe one more key player from complete.

Westbrook brings way more than scoring.

Wouldn't have this issue if you gave Harden that contract rather than Ibaka several years ago.

Just saying

Oh I know. Averaging a triple-double. But if he's require to take over a game and not facilitate the offense, it would be another issue. It wouldn't necessarily create team balance.

Celts need a superstar if they want to win a title. Westbrook is the second best player in the league.

It depends. Unless OKC can land another top player or 2, they are going to be stuck in NBA playoff purgatory. Always good enough to make the playoffs as long as Westbrook is healthy, but never good enough to get past the 1st or 2nd round.

I do agree however, that they certainly don't need to be looking at blowing things up this early. It's the first season without KD. Better to keep Westbrook and see if they can get some more talent around him in the off season before considering trading him.

Wouldn't Westbrook be that "one more player" to make them complete? Or did you mean one more in addition to Westbrook?
