Clear number 1 is Gonzalez and no one is close, my number 2 is Gates and 3 is Casper . I think you could make an argument for Gronk as high as 2 or as low as 6 but in no world is he number 1.
For career? Lol. Not a shot. If you're speaking solely potential greatness and a few seasons then sure. But then Gale Sayers is the best RB ever, Randy Moss the best hideout ever , Michael Strahan in the best DL ever etc. There's no world on which Gronk is better than Gonzalez and you've really got to stretch to have him ahead of GatesYou're full of shit. Anyone who knows what they're talking about would easily take Gronkowski over those three.
Casper, he says. Gotta be fucking joking me

I actually really like the Pats. Brady is easily the best QB of all time and a lot if their guys are severely underrated. There's just no reasonable way to say Gronk has had a better career than Gonzalez or Gates. Duds has like 1/3 of the receptions and yards as Gonzalez. And if you told those GMs you'd get a guy who gets 400 catches for 6000 yards and is hurt 50% of the time or a guy who is never hurt and gets 1300 catches for 16k yards there's no way they take guy A. Zero. You're debating who was best in their prime. That's not the same as best ever.Again, you could pull aside any GM worth a shit in this league, and tell him, "hey, i need you to put together an offense and you have your pick of gronk, gates, casper and gonzalez, i guarantee that 9 times out of 10, that gm is taking gronk, easily. I get it, you hate the pats, and for good reason: they ruined your superbowl sunday, and theyve dominated the league for a long time. I hate them too. But dont be ridiculous
ben coates would have been great tooFrancis was great. Fringe top 10 all time. I've got Gronk 4th right now but man he could've been top 2 for sure if he just could've stayed healthy

Sure that's the difference between best prime and actual best ever. What's the old saying?? The best ability is availability lolI was joking. Francis was pretty good, but...............................
Gronkowski is the bestest, most impactful TE ever IMO. I doubt he'll play long enough to compile yardage numbers that would put him at the top of the list.

No way. I don't see any team, regardless of need at TE, being willing to give up a boatload for an injury-plagued dude like him.
Let's not forget that along with his all world receiving skills Gronk is a beast of a blocker. You ain't gonna find many highlights of Gonzalez pancaking O-linemen.

The dude has nothing left to prove. He's got SB rings - he's a first ballot HOF lock - as of now he's the best tight end ever.
Lions GM is a retard. No way. I don't see any team, regardless of need at TE, being willing to give up a boatload for an injury-plagued dude like him.
No.
Tony Gonzalez, Todd Cristienson, Kellen Winslow, Antonio Gates, Shannon Sharpe, Ozzie Newsome and Jason Witten and millions of football fans disagree.
John Mackey, Mark Bavaro, Mike Ditka,
I can list TE's too!
Gronk is the best evah!
But, have they ever made up a legendary name for one of Gronk's catches?
"Ghost to the Post" Dave Casper, Raiders.
"The Catch" Dwight Clark, 49ers.
