Derrick Rose didn't help with Chicago Bulls pitch to Carmelo Anthony - ESPN Chicago

It turns out that Derrick Rose was not a part of the Chicago Bulls' pitch to Carmelo Anthony after all.
Rose actually was surprised to see Anthony, one source said. He had no idea what time the Knicks' free agent would be visiting the Bulls.

Rose broke up his workout to approach Anthony and said a brief hello, but that was the extent of his participation in the Bulls' recruitment.

Chicago took Anthony through a prepared recruitment presentation for Anthony, and Rose's impression was that teammates Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson were officially part of it, sources said.

But the Bulls' front office never asked Rose to join in.

Despite his public stance against recruiting, sources close to Rose said he would have taken part in the Bulls' presentation if members of the front office had asked him to do so.

Seems the Bulls have realized who the true leaders on their team are.

I know Rose is of low intelligence but is he really so stupid to think he will ever do anything as the "best" (I use this term loosely) player on the team?

First of all, just about everyone in the nba is of "low intelligence". That includes your boy Lebron. Secondly, That's not his personality. He's not outgoing. Noah is much more outgoing, probably one of the most intelligent players in the nba on and off the court, and is much more social. Rose has gone through a lot lately and he probably doesn't feel right representing the bulls after missing out on the last two years. After all he's a player and not part of the front office and as you quoted, he was not asked to be part of the pitch by the front office. I don't know how you got to that conclusion from the quotes you provided. Based on this post, I think you are just as dumb as Derrick Rose is.

when one of the best players on the team doesn't make any effort to recruit someone like LBJ and then blames the team for not asking him to participate in that recruitment it sends a message to that recruitment target that things are not as they seem in Chicago

I don't think it says anything. It doesn't even seem like that was an excuse Rose made.

this has been all twisted around. Apparently Rose was working out at one of the facilities, they actually had a report that said that Carmello asked to see rose work out in front of him to see how he was physically.

bottom line, Rose got too rich too quick. second, the part I understand, is rose does not feel it is his position to do the gm and presidents job. He does not feel it is his place and that has been the bigger reason for not doing it. Not saying "Its not my fucking job", its clearly against what lebron wade and bosh conspired in miami. Its not the players jobs to pick the team.

He will probably get hurt again, he just isn't stable. He isn't a voice leader and he can't even stay on the court. Noah is the real leader IMO

Derrick Rose has proven himself to be the biggest disappointment in the NBA in a long, long time. :L

It's funny because the two Bulls fans in this thread continue the trend of Bulls fans being seen as flat out idiotic.

Year after year Gar/Pax put garbage out on the floor and claim them to be a Championship contender and those moronic fans eat that shit up like hot cakes and throw their money in the trash.

The Bulls players don't want their team to improve, the Bulls management don't want their team to improve (or aren't willing to spend to do it), and the Bulls fans don't care that the players don't want the team to improve.

Knicks knew they were on the ropes, so they tried to throw that D Rose monkey wrench to Broussard yesterday to try and show Melo that Rose didn't really want him. What a bunch of no good slime balls.

D. Rose is more concerned with his Adidas endorsements.

He will be lucky to crack a starting rotation ever again.

Not if someone is willing to pay him to not do shit it won't be. Dude might not be smart enough to tie his own shoes but he knows how to cash a check.

Bulls can cut him and get the roster spot back. Will mean paying him but he's been a liability for a long time now.

They used the Amnesty provision on Boozer. I doubt they want to release Rose and still have to pay him and count it towards the salary cap.
