Chris Paul has really gotten in the conversation

Dan Patrick was talking about that this morning with, I believe, Reggie Miller.

He said that if you go by "value to his team" CP3 should be right in the thick of the conversation. Both agreed that he likely doesn't win, but that he should be getting more love for it than he is.

To properly contextualize those 18 games Embiid has missed.....

LeBron has also missed 18 games. He was the front runner before he got injured and now he isn’t even mentioned as a serious contender.

So why is Embiid still in the running with 18 games missed?

Embiid isn't in the running anymore. Jokic is going to win the MVP.

If Jokic didn't have such crazy numbers, I think there would be more talk of Paul winning it. But the disparity in numbers is just too strong.

1. Penis size
2. They don’t use social media to cause uproars.
3. Lots o’ points.

There are likely other factors but those are most certainly the first three that came to mind.

Real simple for me, although this isn’t how they vote

what would the team look like without that player?

Julius Randle and Chris Paul are the 2 MVPs to me, because the difference in record and seed for those teams without those guys, would be so substantial

That’s some what misleading on Randle. He wouldn’t even start for the Sixers or the Lakers. Randle has to do everything because his team has little offensive talent.

You’re making a stronger case for him

a team with no talent is the 4 seed, 10 games over .500, won 12 of 13, 15 of 17

that’s an MVP

Theres little difference between the 4 and 10 seed in the East. The Knicks defend and that takes them to the top of the list of shit in the East.

And that’s about the biggest leap of any team in the NBA from last season to this

shit from last decade and this

Curry even more so. Without him the Ws are the Rockets.

Basketball is a team game. 1 on 1 has little relevance.

But I suspect Giannis or KD would win a 1 on 1 tournament.

Coaching, Quickley and Rose have also made an impact. It hasn't been Randle on his own. He's been great, but not remotely MVP caliber yet.

By your own criteria it is Jokic without a doubt.

He has played all 57 games for his team. Their team records are very similar.

Embiid has missed 10 games and the 6ers are 7-3 without him.

Jokic all day.

Any team without their two major stars is going to look like the Rockets in most cases (depends on the star's contracts really). The Warriors aren't any worse than most.

If today's Warriors had the 2015 versions of Harrison Barnes, Andrew Bogut, Andre Iguodala and that bench they would be much better than this team

CP3 starting to get more love for MVP on the talk shows.

They must be reading my posts.

He still isn't going to win...but he's getting more love.
