The team lost, he didn't play his best, He mad and he is pouting, it's understandable.

With all Mr. Sherman's flamboyant personality brings to the game, humility is still the one thing he lacks.

And in two sentences we have it.

It's Richard Sherman.... If he does anything slightly wrong the media will be all over him. He has brought that upon himself but you know the media salivates whenever a receiver or anyone does something to make him look "somewhat" bad.

Sherman has been "exposed". That's it for the Seahawks in 2014. Party's over. It was a nice run while it lasted till we were exposed. Looks like it's time to implode the roster and get a new coach.

But an interesting stat, Carroll road record in the NFL with the Hawks 14-20...
If there is work to be done its that road record, just to be safe if they don't get home field for the playoffs

No, actually Sherman was right. Not saying avoiding the media was right, but the announcers were not correct in the data they were showing. Seattle runs a lot of zones and I believe they put a couple of those on Sherman when he had already split to his priority shift in coverage. I mean no doubt they hit at least 5 passes to that side while he was on it, but who you ultimately put the reception on may not always be so straight up.

He didn't have his best game though. He bit on several moves we don't normally see him bite on. But he wasn't alone. Really sub par performance for that entire defense.

Then you could say that they didn't give credit to a reception that Sherman really had when he shifted to that player right? But Sherman is too good to POSSIBLY have that happen to him right?

This is what Sherman needs to expect if he has an off game. And this was not a horrible performance. It was simply an off day for him. Imagine if he gets touched for a couple of TD's. That's a soap opera I will definitely tune into. Like I have always said, Sherman's attitude is tolerable when the team is winning. Once they face some adversity, it will become an annoying distraction.

With that said, I still think the Hawks are the team to beat in the NFC. They simply lost a game on the road to a good team. It happens to every great team. The Seahawks will be fine.

Just want to throw this out there that it is entirely possible that Sherman was not physically well enough to speak to the media, he was the only member of the Seattle secondary to play the whole game. Keep in mind, the defense was on the field for 42 minutes of the game in 100+ degree weather. It is very likely he was seeking medical attention after the game which would have been a pretty good reason to not speak to the media. However, if he was well, he should have spoken to the media.

Seattle had the best road record in the league last year. Until yesterday they were 8 for the their last 11, best in the league over that span. But yeah, its obviously still an issue since they lost at another teams opener.

It's not that he wasn't even there. He flat out refused. He was there, and refused to talk to them. Nice spin, but not even close.

He's a good player and one that learned how to play a sport, not be a sport. I prefer when they have done both by the time they are a professional. Sore losers and poor winners just aren't a lot of fun. Some are both.

I don't think the poster was saying he is overrated. But what he is saying is that Sherman needs to act like a better sport, not go running to Twitter after avoiding the media. Talk about the loss like a man and a professional.

Agreed. Anyone can bark at the camera and talk trash after a win. Sherman just showed just he's no different from any other player who ducks the media after a bad game. He knew the press was going to dig in on him, and he wanted no part of it.

If it makes him feel any better Peterson had a pretty rough day against the Giants.

Unless Richard Sherman was secretly covering Antonio Gates, he was hardly exposed.

It was far from his best game throwing slants and come back routes at him is not exactly torching him.

Credit to Rivers for playing extremely well. The Seahawks front 4 was terrible today and when you don't get pressure, your secondary is going to get beat.

And what exactly was the press going to "dig in" on him for? He didn't give up any TD's to Gates.

Most would agree exposed isn't the correct word to use. What Sherman need to understand is that if receivers feel like they got the best of you they will talk shit and the media will also be on your ass. Shit like this happens when you pop off at the mouth a lot. This would never happen to revis because he isn't a shit talker like sherman. If you want to dish it just be prepared to take it when you have a sub par day by your standards

I think some of you guys are reading way too much into this.

The Chargers players talked some trash. The media picked up on this and created a story.

Do you really think that Sherman felt like he was exposed?

No but that's my point. Since Sherman is a shit talker, anytime a wr/team feel like they won the battle they'll shit talk him to the media....if his way of handling this all the time will be to avoid the media and respond on Twitter, he will look like a bitch

Kennan Allen is the one talking shit, right?

5 catches for 55 yds isn't exactly lighting anyone up. I think this is all blow way out of proportion by the media.

He normally responds to players talking shit on twitter. That isn't something he just started doing yesterday.

The media LOVES Richard Sherman because he is a walking quote machine.
