Report: ESPN Broadcaster Set to Replace Malzahn at Auburn
Wednesday, November 22, 2017
When news surfacing that Auburn and Gus Malzahn are going to part ways after this year, along with the news about more layoffs coming from ESPN; it should be no surprise that a lot of ESPN's broadcasters are rumored to be going back to their roots of coaching.
Reports have already been swirling about Gruden going to Tennessee, Chip to Florida, among others, so it should be no surprise that Auburn is going being thrown into the mix of snapping up one of ESPN's unemployed workers.
The more surprising part of this story is that the broadcaster in question is Beth Mowins. Beth, born in Syracuse, will likely be replacing Gus Malzahn at Auburn starting next year. The inside source says Beth brings absolutely no talent, or experience, but she's a woman so 'there's that'.
ESPN was quick to make a comment by immediately tweeting 'Win Win FOR US!', however the tweet has since been removed.
Beth Mowins, age 50, is set to be become Auburn's 27 Head coach after the Tigers appearance in the 2017 Capital One Bowl.
Can't say I'm too surprised. Just the timing seems odd.
