Lol @the title of the Bleacher Report Article

Jacksonville Jaguars fans are going above and beyond to get former Jags defensive end Yannick Ngakoue his second Pro Bowl nod, but their motives may not be totally altruistic.
SB Nation's James Dator wrote Wednesday that the team's fans have taken to Reddit to build momentum behind Ngakoue's Pro Bowl campaign. By doing so, they may strengthen Jacksonville's outlook in the 2021 NFL draft.
The Jaguars traded Ngakoue to the Minnesota Vikings in August, and Minnesota moved him to the Baltimore Ravens in October.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the second trade didn't affect the terms of Jacksonville's deal with Minnesota. If Ngakoue makes the Pro Bowl, then the fifth-round pick the Jags received turns into a fourth-rounder.

The 25-year-old isn't a Pro Bowler on merit, having posted 15 tackles and five sacks between his time with the Vikings and Ravens. But fan voting for All-Star Games isn't always a reflection of a player's performance.
Moving up from the fifth round to the fourth may not sound like much. But Jacksonville is 1-8 and last in the AFC South, so it can use whatever help it gets in accelerating its rebuild.

Yeah its still so dumb how you could get more money for being "selected" to a popularity contest
That is all the pro bowl selections are.

Posted this in another thread: Copy/paste:

I don't think it actually matters too much to the Vike's.

When we traded him to the Ravens that trade also has a conditional 5th rounder in the deal. My guess is that it is the same language as the Jag's-Vikes deal. Which means whatever pick we give to the Jag's we just get back from the Raven's.

Also that tweet is wrong. We aren't talking about a pick in 2021. It is a conditional pick in 2022. I am not too worried about a 3rd day pick in a draft a year and a half down the road.

And our GM likes to stockpile late picks anyway. So making it up isn't going to be hard anyway.

We are missing our 2nd in the upcoming draft (from that trade). But then after that we have currently, 2 3rds, 3 4ths, & 2 5ths. And we will likely get a 3rd round plus in comp picks too from the offseason we just had to offset the loss of Tre Waynes, Alexander and Weathery. We'll likely just trade one of those 4th rounders away for a future 4th + to make up for the loss. Our GM Spielman has a philosophy that you always want to be drafting 8-10 players at minimum in a draft no matter what the round. Quantity over quality. So we take and miss on a ton of late round picks.

Jags again focusing in the wrong areas. They need to be promoting their black coaches so one of them can get hired elsewhere and they get 2 free 3rd round compensatory picks. Meanwhile here they are focusing on a 4th instead of a 5th...

Ah the Jags, always good for a laugh.
