lol another late loss

I hope they lose every single game from here on out.

All of them.
Sure but then you need to shame anyone who goes to a game too. Them losing out won’t change the core problems

Well, that's it. I just can't with these guys anymore.

As long as they're mere puppets to Dipoto and Stanton and nothing more is to be done with how things are going, it's just pointless.

This has turned into a vicious cycle: Early lead, early blowing of lead, deflating of offense from earlier, give away a walk-off...
Lather, rinse, fucking repeat.

And we fall for it. Every. Damn. Time. If this were a home series, I'd expect loud booing just to get the point across.

But you know what, it's not worth straining the vocal cords. Just fold this poverty franchise and have done with it already.

I agree, but yet teams like Texas last and the Royals and Orioles this year all did it. It takes baseball smarts and commitment which are two things we don't have.
It will just take someone who actually spends the money wisely. We all hate ownership but the owners aren’t the A’s, Tampa or Miami. With a young cheap corp, a $140 million dollar payroll should produce a lot more than what we are seeing.

The worse it gets the more they can't just tell us to relax, this is just part of the process of the rebuild.

End up 10 games out so maybe our neutered media will press them for a change.

They need a major overhaul, not another offseason tweak. Push them to do something or show even the hard-core fans that they have no interest in winning.

spend wisely, sure. there's a lot more to it than that. a big part is realizing that not every multi-year deal over $20 mill is going to work for the team to be competitive over the entire span of the contract.

the astros DFA'd $40 mill in dead weight this season between 2 players. they ate it to be competitive this year, right fucking now, not at some fairy tale time in the future. that was ownership's decision, not the GM's no matter how clueless M's fans are about who makes money decisions. do you see clown stanton and co doing the same with the likes of total pieces of shit like Hanniger and Garver for the remaining $27 mill of their contracts? not a fucking chance. holding onto them for a trade of any kind isn't going to make this team better in the short or long term. their mindset is "hey we spent a lot of money on these guys and that's the extent of our willingness to give a fuck about contending for another couple years". time to wake the fuck up people.

Absolutely. That has been my argument all year. Money helps, but Rays do it on less all the time. They aren't the only ones.

We are 12th in 'Active 26-Man' Payroll

5 Teams in Playoffs as of now are lower than us in Total Payroll.

6 Teams that have more wins than us are below us in Total Payroll.

There is NO WAY this team is worth that much in payroll. They can't even earn half of it the way they give up out there. All the whiffs and strikeouts, all the bullpen blows...the starters may be worth most of what they get, maybe, but everyone else? FORGET IT.
