Thing with trading is it seems the OF is set for next year, so trades are going to be heavy infield. Didn’t they move Gorman and Walker to the OF?I would be ok if they traded an SP for a legit bat or a couple high possibility bats. There are a few SP free agent that they can replace the traded pitcher with. Snell might become a free agent again and we know he wants to be here. Burns or Bieber would be nice replacements as well. I know they aren't spending the money. I am pretending my team really cares. It is all I have left.
Would you trade:
Kirby To Cards for say 2 of Gorman, Walker, Osborne, Nootbaar?
or
Gilbert for Corbin Carroll?
Bored with the year so doing my annual dreaming.
I guess owners hoped this info didn't get out. Now they can't cry "we're poor" but still won't spendSo 1/5th of their income is from local tv yet they had to stop spending because it was a big part of their revenue. Huh?
yeah baring..something..unseen..Thing with trading is it seems the OF is set for next year, so trades are going to be heavy infield. Didn’t they move Gorman and Walker to the OF?
I assume Arozarena is gone in the offseason. He looks as happy to be in Seattle right now as Servais. I figured could be moved to 1B.Thing with trading is it seems the OF is set for next year, so trades are going to be heavy infield. Didn’t they move Gorman and Walker to the OF?
I'm in ..on this ..one ...Pleasant stats for your Tuesday evening pleasure.
We are now 139 games into the season and we continue to wonder why team management still believes Mitch Garver will turn his season around. So, for a quick update. Since July 27th Mitch has 4 hits in his last 48 at bats. His slash over that time is: .083/.214/.125/.389.
So why does he keep getting plate appearances? The answer is simple and two fold. 1. The team offense really sucks that much that he is a preferred option against left-handed pitchers. 2. The cheapskate ownership will not accept defeat and throw in the towel on a player they invested $25 million in no matter how badly he is killing the team.
And let's not blame Dan Wilson. He doesn't want this, doesn't deserve this, but this is what he is stuck with.
