I can kinda see both Rivera and Dunbar's perspective.

Rivera
I dont know you.
You are always hurt.
You are under contract.
You've been trashing the organization on social media all year.
Show me this year you can play 16 and stay with other teams #1s and we'll pay you as such.

Dunbar
I play hurt
I'm the best corner you have.
I was better than Norman and he was getting 15.
I'm way underpaid for my performance
You just went out and paid 10 for a slot corner who was mediocre at best last year and awful when not in the slot.

Nice breakdown.

The 26.5 is not acurate. Haskins left in the first drive of the 2nd half and we had only scored 14 at that point. Keenum got us the other 21 on the board so Haskins didn't really lead us to 26.5 points per game. But that is really just minor details and not worth arguing but you need to be aware that the stat is misleading.

I hope our younger players get better but that does not always happen. RG3 and Alfred Morris actual regressed while they were Skins after their rookie year.

We will have to disagree on Callahan. In 2014, we had the 31st ranked OLine and when he took over in 2015, he got us to 7. We were ranked 4 in 2016, 21st in 2017 and 2018 and 28 in 2019. I think we can all admit, a you did, that 2019 was a disaster as we did not have TW and Scherff got injured. The line hopefully improves but LG is in the air and who knows about LT. Moses has continued to get worse statistically each year since 2015.

As bad as we were last year under Callahn, John Matsko, our new OL coach was the OLine coach at Carolina. He oversaw the #31 ranked OLine. In other words, as bad as Callahan was, Matsko was worse. That doesn't make me feel much better about the Oline.

We do NOT have to have a top TE. I was simply pointing out that the most succesful teams do. For a young QB, a strong TE would help considerably and I think you would agree. Having Sprinkle or Thomas start would not help DH and I am sure you would agree.

For the record, no, I don't expect all 6 of those areas to improve. Hopefully all of them do, but we cannot be sure.

I think we improve some as we cannot get any worse. We had the 32nd ranked offense. We can only go up. RR is a Super Bowl coach but his coaching record is a tad over .500 and Turner is running the offense and we have no idea what he is going to do.

There is no need to respond, we need to agree to disagree as usual...sigh

What is up with there is no reason to respond. You are on a forum. That is what happens here. :noidea:

We basically traded Dunbar for Kyle Allen.

worse pick though I really don't see a plan here with this team

True...we actually lost 15 spots with the trade so its not a straight up trade. I think we could have gotten more.

How dare you question this Front Office and their master plan! Rivera has proven himself time and time and again and had 3 winnings seasons in 9 years. Be patient and trust the process. The Panthers were fools to fire Rivera and we will be back to competing in 8-10 years! We don't need to add talent nor do we need a bunch of bum free agents! We will magically improve with our 1st year OC and our 1st year pseudo-GM.

Get on board won't you!

Although that first that was rumored for Tomlin was tempting.....

I am trying to be patient with the Front Office but our moves are confusing at best. I liked a few of the signings but we have gapping holes and we are going into the draft to fix these issues. I think we are looking at a long rebuild.

Just from an outsider perspective. A lot of things I read from redskins fans and media are just so not in line with what the rest of the nfl thinks. ......regarding personnel, value, and how good players are. But regardless of that. I don't care who I bring in. Your owner will doom you. See Dallas, they r a bit more Competitive but they will never win with jerrah.

A fucking 5th round pick for a quality, albeit oft- injured cornerback? We should not have given up more than a 7th round pick for Allen and our return for Dunbar should have been a 4th rounder.

At this rate we will get a 4th for TWs and have to pay half his salary

Kyle Allen threw for nearly 4K yards last season. A fifth is a bargain. I love how people are thinking he is being brought here as a backup. My beef with bringing him here is the optics of competition for Haskins.
