My Rockies are currently 6-28(.176) which is worse than the all time 36-117(.235) mark held by the 1916 Philadelphia Athletics.
Besides ownership we also have the Coors Field Factor where our home 1993-2024 OPS of .862 is 26.2% greater than our .683 away OPS and our home 1993-2024 ERA of 5.42 is 17.6% greater than our 4.61 away ERA
Kris Bryant’s annual salary of $27,million is 25.8% of the Rockies 2025 payroll of $104,724,285
Bryant has just played 170 games and is currently on the IL AGAIN, with this being his 4th year. In those 170 games his WAA is a negative-3.9 = Bryant has cost the Rockies 4-wins compared to the average MLB player(<Charlie Blackmon)

missed it by 2 years:suds:
The 1899 Cleveland Spiders are widely considered the worst MLB team of all time, holding the record for most losses in a single season with 134 losses and a win-loss percentage of .130. Their record is still unmatched, and they finished with a 20-134 record

The current Rockies can subjectively blame the owners. The 1899 Cleveland Spiders can objectively blame the owner for the way he gutted the Spider club.

No matter how bad the Rockies are, they can't do better that the #10 overall pick in the 2026 Draft. No team can be in the lottery two years in a row and the Rox were #4 for 2025. The White Sox will pick at #10 in this years draft. This rule is beyond idiotic

39-games into the 2025 season and the Rockies are an historically worst 6-33(.154)

They also just joined six other teams that has been shutout 20+runs to nothing.

Haha! Wow, exactly 1/3 of this list involves baseball teams playing in the city of Philadelphia during a terrible season. Sounds about right. The Phillies are the losingest team in the history of North American sports. No franchise has lost more competitive contests.

Luckily, in my lifetime, I’ve seen them in 6 World Series with 2 championships. That’s the “golden era” of Phillies baseball because all things are relative haha.

The only reason this doesn't matter much is draft position is almost meaningless for baseball

Baseball playoffs are close to random and baseball drafts even closer. Frustrating in some ways but gives anyone a chance to luck out
