BTW -- What happens to the staff when Latos comes back?

Are you sure he's coming back? He hasn't even started throwing again. I wouldnt be a bit surprised if he ended up having Tommy John.

3-8, followed by 8-3......considering the start, they got back to even pretty quickly.

The bullpen, amazingly, suddenly looks ok. Broxton and even Marshall are making a difference. If Chappy can come back strong we'll be golden, at least as far as Cards' bitches can be.

Old farts day in New York today. Bobby Abreu gets the big hit, Bartolo Colon the win, and Dice K the save as the Mets defeat the dirty birds.....

More shoddy fielding in STL...

Their averages and hitting with RISP has come way down to balance out last years ridiculous numbers on offense.

But, and until we prove otherwise, the bastards still have our number.

Agreed.

But, the Reds don't need to beat the dirty birds to win in the playoffs or advance...That's the great thing about once you get into the playoffs...sure, bad matchup for the Reds, but if they get lucky, it won't matter.

Nor do they need to beat them tow in the division...just stay close enough, maybe...but certainly don't have to win the season series to win the league, or make the playoffs.

Can someone please tell Bryan Price that having Pena run on a contact play from 3B and less than 2 outs?

10 runners thrown out at home in just over a month of play. There is agressive baserunning, and then there is what the Reds are doing on 3B with the contact play...This team can't afford to have runs given away with stupid management.

Can anyone get a hit with RISP? Or just a fucking fly ball?

Nope.

Well, Frazier did have a SAC fly the other night, so yes...it can happen...however, you reduce your chances of getting a Sac fly when you have 1 or none out, and are running from 3B on contact...

Seems like whenever a rally gets started Cozart is up, and he promptly destroys the inning. But Votto hasn't exactly been mr. clutch either.

11 RBI's for Joey..... He's basically a small upgrade from Hal Morris and Sean Casey. It's hilarious that he has a 250 million dollar contract.

I'm the best anti jinx ever, though. Right after i post that he hits a 430 foot walk-off HR on a 3-0 count.

He's a puss now. Fucking Canada...

At least Price has him batting where he should -- Second.

That's about the only thing that Price has done right. Then again, the idea that your second hitter makes 25 million a year on a small market team is sorta funny. Who-Dey!

Well, Votto hit 4th tonight. Not sure that will stick or not.

Obviously you haven't ragged on him enough. From here on out I'm expecting a negative post about Votto before every at bat.
